I don't think I'm really a huge horror movie freak but I'm pretty close. I love horror movies, especially if they have some good gore effects. I wasn't always this way though. I was a pussy when I was younger, I mean I got scared by the trailer for Jeepers Creepers for god sake. I remember listening to my sister watch the Texas Chainsaw Massacre and having nightmares from it. Then I watched Scream and feel in love. The past two-three years I've tried to watch as many horror movies as possible. From the Exorcist to Halloween to Trick'r'Treat.

I've gone through classic horror movies, new horror movies but have yet to find a movie that actually scared me. I've been on a quest for over two years to find a movie that will actually scare me, not make me jump but actually scare the shit out of me. I recently bought Rec and have high hopes for it but I did see Quarantine and even though I loved it, I still wasn't scared by it.

I think the last film to actually scare me was the original Halloween. Since then I've tried, from watching them alone while house sitting in a huge empty house to watching them in a dark room on my laptop. I really want to be scared and was wondering if anyone has any suggestions.

I have a similar problem, and I also didn't expect to be scared by Rec because I'd seen the remake, but Rec did manage to give me a fright. K-Horror Cello didn't scare me, but because I really liked the characters I was filled with constant dread. A friend found Thai-horror Shutter scary, although myself, I just found it eerie. The Descent gave me a bit of a chill. Hope you enjoy Rec!
