Samuel L. Jackson to Narrate Inglorious Basterds?

Some not-quite-so-confirmed news today has Quentin Tarantino casting one of his favorites, Samuel L. Jackson, in the role of the narrator in his upcoming WWII film, Inglorious Basterds.

According to Playlist, (if you choose to believe this rumor), Jackson called Tarantino and asked if he could be involved.

Looks like Samuel L. Jackson has weaseled his way into the film as the narrator who's present only in a few spots but mostly pops up at random time in the script to add some context and background info.

cool, dude. whatever. it's just narration. he's got a cool voice, so this may be a good step for him. not like his career needs help, but it will probably work fine

This should be no surprise to anyone...considering that Sam Jackson does about 393 movies a year.
