Robert Rodruigez to Reboot 'Predator'?

This one is nothing more than rumor right now but Bloody Disgusting is reporting that "a reliable source dropped us a line revealing to us that Robert Rodriguez and his Troublemaker Studios will be producing the Predator reboot for 20th Century Fox"'
They go on to say that the reboot would feature several predators as a team of commandos would face down with a mysterious race of vicious monsters.
No word on whether Rodriquez would direct but he's got a full dance card so it's hard to imagine that he would.

**** a reboot.
PREDATOR remains legendary amongst sci-fi and action genres.
PREDATOR 2 was a fun romp that added more to the Predator character, like his masochistic first-aid kit and the Alien enmity.
So continue the storyline or start an original take. If anything needs a reboot, it's the nauseating AVP pair.

I saw Predator for the first time about a month or two ago. It was an awesome movie. I'm thinking about picking up the Predator/Alien pack at Wal-Mart the next time I go by. I also thought Predator 2 was pretty damn good as well.
As for a reboot, I don't really see the point. This is the type of series where a reboot is pretty much never needed. No characters stuck around from the first to the second, so if you make a third one with all new characters then I don't see the difference between that and a remake of the first. It's still a group of people confronted by the same alien menace with no knowledge on what it is or what it can do.
Just put a lot of advertisement into the first and second on DVD, and then release Predator 3.

No. NO. ABSOLUTELY not. Why fix something that ain't broken? Both of the Predator movies(yes even the second)are classics and are STILL being watched to this day. Leave it alone.

Predator came out less than twenty years ago
It needs not a remake or reboot
It needs a sequel true (Predator 2 wasn't as good as the first, but it's still fun)
