It's a shame that this movie wasn't successful in the box office.

I'd suggest to Leon, or anyone that enjoyed the film though to go read the books. They are books solely for children and aren't "young adult" like harry potter/lord of the rings, but there is a lot of Joyce's imagination in there. Characters like Pitch have an expansive/different backstory than the film, but there's still that sense of wonder, belief, and creativity in these books that can be found in these films. And the books actually get much more violent than this film did as well.

P.S. Really enjoy this review. One of my personal favorites.

Absolutely beautiful... But I really think the plot could be a bit more smoother, and the characters more develped. Overall, not one of the best Dreamworks movie, but a low full price.

Cyrus' bit cracked me the fuck up, ready to review the shit out of this movie!

This is like a high rental to me. Clever idea for the movie but they don't do much with it. Aside from Jack Frost and Pitch the other characters are very thin.

@Fungus Monkey.  I believe that bad rep was only because Pixar made a series of seriously amazing films from 02 to 06.  And because of that people somehow linked that to Dreamworks not making good movies.???  Doesn't make any sense.  Some of their best movies were some of the first they made.  Prince of Egypt, Road to el dorado, Shrek. Antz.  They were great

@Sumildon - Don't tell me, tell everyone else. Regardless of my personal opinion, that's still the general outlook on their work. Like I said, I think they're getting better at storytelling but that bad rep still follows them around.

I tried several times now to type out how I felt about this film, so I'll keep it short:

I loved it. High full price for me. It was a simple, well-paced story with some absolutely stunning imagery and design. The voice actors were great, and the twists to these classic characters were actually pretty creative; most of my laughs came from the twists, such as the yetis making the toys instead of the elves for Santa.

Korey, Captain Matinee!

Lol, just kidding. Had no interest in this film a first, but listening to all the good reviews, what the hell, I should check this out.
