IGN already gave this movie a not so favorable review but they also blamed everything on Lucas. So I am going to wait to hear the review from Spill.

I really hope this movie's good, but you guys do raise really good points. Anyway, really good trailer discussion. Sounds like you guys did a bit of research beforehand on the people involved in the movie, which is really cool.

Is this a blaxploitation action movie. or is it just an action movie with alota black actors. I gotta say i'm with NeoSpearBlade. May not be good story (MAYBE), but here's hoping the action is lively enough.

No matter what, I'm seeing this movie. No, not because of the Tuskegee Airmen (honestly don't know who they are but I'm expecting the movie to tell me about them) but because like AstroBoy (closest to a Megaman movie I'd get), this is as close as I'll get to an Ace Combat movie, just on the air combat (hee hee) scenes I saw in the trailers. Yes, I'm coming in as a gamer.

Is that a shallow reason? Yes, I'll admit that and I even got shallower reasons for watching Max Payne in theaters (I seriously don't remember why I saw it since I've never played any of the games) but at least I'm not one of the idiots that wants to see a movie done by Jason Fucker and Aaron Suckass just because it looks funny.

Sorry, but this looks like shit. Which sucks because I was interested in seeing it until I saw the cast (seriously, since when has Terrence Howard made a good movie AFTER Hustle & Flow??) and the release date and the awful trailer.

I totally agree man, I also am annoyed how lucas has no shame by playing the progressive card and how important this is for cinema. Am I glad to see an almost all black cast ( ahem: brian cranston)? Sure, but considering that male black leads such as denzel and murphy and smith have raked in billions for hollywood, maybe he should take a step back before claiming he's as forward thinking as martin luther king.

For a guy who supposedly has full control of this movie, the trailer lends itself to cliched foolishness just based on real heroes. 

THen again I haven't watched the movie yet, I cannot wait for the review, I hope I am completely wrong and lucas isn't a cunt and just wants to churn a huge profit off the black audience. I hope the movie is good and it'd be great to see cuba come back, I genuinely like the dude

I have extremely mixed feelings about this movie. I'm black and I'm one of the few people who have actually seen this trailer and not want to see this movie. so I leave this warning, I love how Lucas was able to make an action movie with a completely black cast and I hope more movies like this are made, however everyone be careful when you do review/recommend this movie cuz I don't want to see the return of the Blaxploitation movie.
