Red-Band First Trailer For 'Kick-Ass: Balls To The Wall'

I really dug Matthew Vaughn's interpretation of Mark Millar's 'Kick-Ass.' Aaron Johnson did a great job inhabiting the titular DIY superhero and Chloe Moretz's foul-mouthed, homicidal Hit-Girl was a riot. One of the major concerns I had with the sequel is that far and away my favorite character from the first film, Big Daddy (played by Nicolas Cage), would not be returning. Today, the first trailer for the Jeff Wadlow-directed sequel, 'Kick-Ass: Balls to the Wall,' has arrived. I like the way they seem to be escalating things, with the army of heroes taking on an army of villains, and the training scenes between Kick-Ass and Hit-Girl are excellent. I'm also really impressed with Jim Carrey, who plays Col. Stars and Stripes. He has really bulked up and I like the voice work he's doing. My big issue with the trailer however is the bad green-screen work displayed during the driving stunts near the end. Oof. Overall though, I'm excited. Take a look at the trailer below and let s know what you think.

'Kick-Ass: Balls to the Wall' hits theaters August 16th

Jim Carrey will be way better in this than he was in BURT WONDERSTONE. I'll go see it since I liked the first KICK ASS, eventhough I heard Mark Millar hates comic book fans.

And as you were wrong about that trailer Mother Superior Pumpkin Sinclair, you're wrong about this. Just looked at the comments and out of 94 comments, you're one of seven that expresses any negative sentiment towards it. I just wanted to make sure this was going out on a positive for a time being.

Jim Carry looks like the only great thing about this, but i was skeptical about the first one so who knows this might be good.

Kick-Ass was a Bette Than Sex!!! for me.

No doubt I'll be seeing this ASAP!

I thought Jim Carry was just going to be another genric pile ontop of the already genric pile of a movie. But 'what's this?' he's actually playing a character? He's acutally acting not just sleep walking through this? Might be worth a watch

since i didn't read comics much when the first 'kickass' came out i just was able to go into it blind and had laugh with it. still haven't read the comics because i want to keep the movies divorced from it. So I'm excited for this, hoping they fix the greenscreen stuff before the release though. that crap can sink a movie like this for me, almost wish they hadn't shown that much in the trailer though i see what they're going for.

Anyone else think the CG and composite shots looked lame?

@Son Of Ajax for once we agree, it went to far in some places, but overall i'd say it's a pretty good read and it really expanded on the kick ass universe.
