Quentin Tarantino's Pop Culture References Listed Chronologically

I am an enormous fan of director Quentin Tarantino, but even I have to admit that he does tend to lean on certain tropes time and time again. One of his biggest is his usage of dialogue laden with references to various pop culture landmarks and footnotes alike. This new video from College Humor actually goes through Tarantino's entire catalog and lays out the references chronologically according to the era in which the referenced material existed. It's pretty fascinating to see which decade received the most reverent homage. My one complaint with this video is that it pats itself on the back for listing every pop culture reference in his canon, but actually misses scores of them. Take a look at the video below and let us know what you think.

As this is a montage of Tarantino clips it should go without saying, but...NSFW

So most of the time he stays in the 60s

Certainly, within the context of the movies they aren't as glaring as when they're popped one after another.  The same comment could be made for Neil Simon using brand names in his plays or Steven Spielberg's use of low-angle dolly shots of people "looking ahead at something".  In this current case, I'm not a big fan of Quentin Tarantino'snon-economy with dialog.  There is another youtube video floating around that compiles all of his foot fetish and violence scenes which illustrate the last two-third reasons why I'm not a big fan.  That all being written, thank you for putting up this video.

No part of this was bad :) It's nice to see Tarantino's extensive pop culture knowledge.

I just thought about some thing. I want to see a Tarantino movie with Nicholas Cage starring in it.
