Nope, MavenCree, color wasn't invented until the 1960s.

Before then, everyone walked around in sepia backdrops and static.

Too clear. You guys are complaining that this movie is too clear?

Um. I know that period pieces usually have grime and grit - that's film. People who lived then, they didn't have film over their eyes. They, like we, were actually living in HD. Leon's right.

That's like people who swear that all horror movies should look like 1970s horror because movies today are too well lit.

Come on. You're complaining about clearity.... That's just sad guys. Sad. Have a drank or sommat.

I liked it, mainly this was my first time seeing a film in full digital photography. I thought it was part of the appeal.

The main complaint among critics is that it didn't explain why Dillinger was the way he was. There was only a line of dialogue that implied that he was beaten as a kid. Why would you want to show that? It doesn't warrant another 30 minutes exploring his earlier life. All Dillinger did was rob banks. That's the only reason why he's remembered. There wasn't any motivation besides him liking the attention.

The very HD picture didn't bother me at all. I don't see what the big deal is. You think that takes you out of the film, why don't you complain about 3d. Whenever i see a film in 3D, all I can think during the film is "I'm watching 3D".
