the biggest problem i had with this with film is the audio quality. gunfights sound like popping bubble wrap and this movie is has major post production problems. besides that i liked the characters and i liked the story.

it was well made, good action, and great acting.
but im w/ you guys, i felt no heart and soul from this movie. something thats good to see once and never again.

This film is alright,I dont like the way it was directed.The movie was really boring at times.Johnny Depp and Christain Bale did a great job acting though.

I liked the way the movie was shot and pretty much all of the acting, but I have to agree with the whole thing about Christian Bale's part. I wish they would have shown him not wanting to keep going after gangsters all the time and then give a reason for his end. If they would have slid in the resignation that he gave but Hoover shot down it would have made more sense.

What a weird way to make a movie!?

You make 1934 as vivid and complex and detailed as you can with actors of the finest calibre and sets and costumes and cars and guns as realistic as you can get AND THEN YOU SHOOT IT SO IT ALL LOOKS DARK, FUZZY, AND SHITTY!!!???

The sound on this was crap in places too! I could hardly hear some of the lines delivered, and the darker scenes were murky as f*ck!? It felt like I was watching a VHS cassette projected onto the big screen!

If you'd shot this like Heat it would have been BETTER THAN SEX! as it is I can only give it a MATINEE
