It's been officially confirmed by Nikkei that Nintendo's new console Project Cafe will feature a six-inch touchscreen at the center of a Gamecube looking controller. It also includes: buttons alongside the touchscreen, also a camera which will allow you to take pictures of your face, similar to what you can do on the Nintendo 3DS--don't really get why you would add a camera on you're controller but, I'll let it slide.

The controller can also be used as a stand-alone gaming device, equipped with a battery that will allow for an on-the-go gaming experience. Nikkei also says that this new console could launch in the middle of 2012.

What say you? Is having a touchscreen on your controller really necessary, or do you love it? It's got to suck if you break it and have to buy another, this controller can't obviously be under $50 dollars.

Something can't be officially confirmed by anybody other than Nintendo. I heard that Spill.com is giving away free bunnies.  It's true, my friend officially confirmed it.
