PCP (Pop Culture Podcast) Episode 044: Ultimate Comics
First off, apologies for the technical difficulties on the Weekly Dose. What can we say? Technology done goofed. But, that's not the case here. It's reboot season! The comic landscape has been in a state of radical change recently. No doubt, this will likely affect the very future of the industry itself but, we figured we'd take this time to recollect on the past of the industry. More specifically, in preparation of Marvel's reboot of its Ultimate Universe, we look back on the comics that took an edgier angle to the Marvel brand like Spider-Man, Avengers, Fantastic Four, X-Men and some of your other favorite properties.

Nice show guys. Ultamatium was a fucking nightmare. Never was a fan of the ultimate universe except for ultimate spider-man

Incest is NEVER a good plot device. EVER. Not even in Japan where it's seemingly acceptable lol. Ultimate Universe Spidey was my favorite version of Spiderman. He had a great run most due to the fact that the writers kept him consistent unlike most characters now who change every book because of a different writer.

Great discripstion of Marvel's Ultimate Universe. I just can't get pass the fact that they thought it would be a good idea to have Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch fall in love and introduce incest in to the Ultimate Universe. That was just a horrible run. But I do enjoy the Ultimate Universe's Spiderman story line very enjoyable for me.
