Finally got to see it the other day and I can say that I don't understand the hype at ALL. I found it way too predictable and slow to be scary. To be fair I'm not into ghost stories. Still, this was just dull.

Eaisly one of the most overrated movie ever. Agree 100% with Tommy took to long to get where it was going. I know this is meant to feel real, but did it have to be so boring. I give the film credit for relying on pshycological scares and not gore sfx. Seriously their nights recoreded were nonething happened(the door moves ooh how scary). I wasnt really scared i guess the best scares are ruined in the trailer. With better editin it would be a FULL PRICE but its a high RENTAL.

This was a great horror film. It had every aspect of every element done right. This is not a hollywood movie, and that is what really makes it work. Of course, this is the only site I've found that wants to shit all over it, too. I think the majority rules on this one. If it's not your thing, then watch the day time soap opera that has become the Saw series.

Personally this will probably be a really good movie for me since I have a kind of phobia for the supernatural, I don't really belive in ghosts but I do belive that their is things like making seanse and excorsism which you shouldn't fuck with...
It would've been nice though if they actually could show something like ectoplasma flying around in their room or something :P
