Before I begin, allow me to begin by saying this is my first blog on Spill.com so please go easy on me. Thanks!

As we all know, it's that time of year once again, Oscar time! Just like last year and the year before that, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is going to disappoint me. Why are they going to disappoint me? Good question. Simply put it as, everytime we find out who had won Best Picture over the last couple years, it's always the one i didn't want to win. Example: 2008, when Slumdog had won and they didn't even BOTHER to nominate The Dark Knight for Best Picture!  Don't get me wrong, Slumdog was really good (i actually enjoyed it a lot) but I really wish The Dark Knight could've been nominated and maybe even WIN! I rest my case.

Now, without further ado, here are my OSCAR predictions!

NOTE: I'm only going to predict the following categories: Best Picture, Best Director, Best Sceenplay (both adapted and original), Best Actor, Best Suppoting Actor, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actress, Best Foriegn Film, Best Original Score, Best Visual Effects, Best Animated Film, Best Makeup and Best Documentary Feature. I don't have time to do them all, i apologize for those who actually care!

BEST PICTURE:

The Social Network or Black Swan

This is my favorite film of the year because everything in this film is so well done especially that screenplay by Aaron Sorkin! The film has won TONS of awards for Best Picture and I'm hoping that the Oscar will go to this film! 

Black Swan was overall creepy and just brilliant! The performances were just great and its just so well shot!

Either way, if either of these won, I'd be happy.

BEST DIRECTOR

David Fincher for The Social Network

It sucks that Christopher Nolan got snubbed of a Best Director nomination! I have a theory about the Academy Awards that has worked over the last couple years. If a film wins Best Picture, guaranteed the director had won for Best Director. Look at past Oscar winners, this is a proven fact! Trust me.

BEST ACTOR IN A LEADING ROLE

Colin Firth for The King's Speech

Again with The King's Speech! Why all the King's Speech predictions? Those are some of the questions you may be asking me so before asking me those stupid questions, let me finish! This is probably the last King's Speech prediction on my list. As you all may know, Colin Firth's performance has been considered probably the best of the year and so it's no surprise that he will win the golden statue of winnings!

BEST ACTOR IN  A SUPPORTING ROLE

Christian Bale for The Fighter

Bale gave what people have been calling an amazing performance as Mickey Ward's brother/mentor for God's sake! He has no other competion behind him since he's won quite a few awards already for his performance. The Oscar is in his hands!

BEST ACTRESS

Natalie Portman for Black Swan

This is the performance of Ms. Portman's career that has won her many awards over the last little while. If she doesn't get the Oscar.... that's all I have to say!

BEST SUPPORTING ACTRESS

Melissa Leo for The Fighter

BEST DOCUMENTARY FEATURE

Inside Job

BEST MAKEUP

Rick Baker and David Elsey for The Wolfman

BEST VISUAL EFFECTS

Everyone who worked on the visuals for Inception

BEST ORIGINAL SCORE

Hans Zimmer for Inception

A great score that made the Inception experience way better! Totally deserves the Oscar!

BEST ORIGINAL SCREENPLAY

David Seidler for The King's Speech

BEST ADAPTED SCREENPLAY

Aaron Sorkin for The Social Network

What can I say about this script besides... it's perfect!

BEST FOREIGN FILM

Buitiful

BEST ANIMATED FILM

Toy Story 3

Because like most people this film made me cry at the end, it's going to win Best Animated film!
