One Guys Ideas About Superman Movies. PART 1

INTRODUCTION Skip If You Wish...

I have never read any Superman comics, not that I know of anyway. All I know about Superman is from the `90s animated series, Superman the Animated Series, and maybe some old Superman cartoons. I may not know much more than anyone of you guys who probably just looked this up because of Superman, but I am just as much as a fan of Superman.


Recently, rumors have been going around about the Superman movies being rebooted and being given darker tones and whatever bull to kiss-up to audiences. I have thought about this and it may not be such a bad idea, but I feel they should not change much from the original Superman. I feelt the way that movie portrayed Superman`s origins was not that bad, just a lot of everything else.

Here are my thoughts about how the Superman movies can go.

Superman: Man of Steel (or just some other title, but it has to have Superman in it..)

Movie starts pretty much like original but with addtions of other stuff like Braniac. They can still probably add the scenes will the banishment of General Zod, Ursa and Non to the Phantom Zone, but what is important are the scenes with Jor-El studying Krypton. Jor-El studies the dying Krypton along with the help of an artificial intelligence, Braniac. Jor-El believes Krypton will die and looks beyond the stars for a new home world and discovers Earth. As we all know Braniac (or from what I know), Braniac is obsessed with knowledge and is curious about our blue little planet. Braniac helps Jor-El and calculates that the only way Braniac can know more about Earth is to visit. Braniac thinks Earth can be better studied alone and so Braniac provides false calculations to Jor-El about Krypton and when it will go BOOM so no other Kryptonian can interfere. When Krypton crumbles, Braniac downloads himself in Kal-El`s (Superman) space pod and off to earth.Much like the original, same ol` same ol`. However, this is just the introduction but Braniac will NOT be the villain for this movie yet, just a set-up. General Zod, Ursa and Non might come in on second movie, and Braniac comes in third.

Lex Luthor will always be a favorite of mine. I believes Lex should be the villain for the first Superman movie. He should be like Kingpin in Marvel. Lex must start as a successful entrepreneur doing hidden and underground dealings like the Kingpin. He has influence (criminal or not), power, wealth, and hands on everything (Science & Tech, Military, Philanthropist,) enough to cloud his criminal image.

Now from here, I don`t really know where to go, but this is how it could start.

through out movie, Lex could use Superman enforce his will without Superman knowing, making Superman think he is doing the right thing.

Kryptonite discovered, rare new material being studied, Superman DOES NOT REVEAL this as his weakness, we dont want a dumb Superman.

Superman mostly fights robots of sci-fi technology or whatever cool stuff people want to see. Really cool robots, maybe powered by Kryptonite, but kept classified.

Now from here, I don`t really know where to go, but this is how it could start.

Here is how it could end. Lex goes into hiding, or exile, or something other than jail. Maybe crash of his power and everything, whatever, Superman prevails.

Civilians should not be too accepting of Superman, just undecided. Lois writes an article and monologue of article closes movie. END

Extra scene could have Braniac freeing General Zod, Ursa and Non from Phantom zone somehow. whatever.
