Even though a score of images from Francis Lawrence's 'The Hunger Games: Catching Fire' have hit the web over the last few months, today's is being touted as the first official image from the movie. It depicts Finnick (Sam Claflin) getting all up on Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence). He better watch that she doesn't whip that ponytail back and take out his eye. The the image comes from the Entertainment Weekly 2013 Preview issue, and the cover, on which these two also appear, is pretty fierce. If nothing else, Finnick is doing a great Aquaman impression. I liked 'The Hunger Games,' and I'm interested to see 'Catching Fire,' but there hasn't been anything so far that has gotten me seriously jazzed about it. Take a look a that the image and cover below and let us know what you think.

Comment by Amia on January 9, 2013 at 3:13pm I am cautiously excited for this. I was super disappointed with the first movie and Catching Fire is my favorite book, so hopefully they won't fuck this one up.
Comment by DennisBel on January 9, 2013 at 2:59pm Oh so this is still happening? I actually thought everyone kinda stopped caring about The Hunger Games. It wasn't bad at all, but it didn't stick with me either.
Comment by Cameron Sultzer on January 9, 2013 at 2:48pm Jennifer Lawrence can get the D.
I love Jennifer Lawrence, but I was really dissapointed by Hunger Games. The shaky cam and the bad CGI really took me out of the movie. I want to see Lawrence do more dramatic films. Silver Linings Playbook is in my top five movies for 2012.
Comment by Lt. Commander Armstrong on January 9, 2013 at 2:02pm "Eh girl, why don't you back that fine booty up a little more." That's the only thing I can hear when I look at that first image, and can you blame him?
Comment by chubblicious on January 9, 2013 at 1:59pm I know its sort of a kids story but i hope this one is more brutal, and i hope they get rid of the shakey cam!
Comment by Jaq107 on January 9, 2013 at 1:52pm Wow, he looks just the way I pictured him while reading the book. I hope we get to see pictures of the other veteran tributes soon.
Comment by Dingle Fairy on January 9, 2013 at 1:46pm Not a bad choice. I've never seen him act before, but the look isn't bad for Finnick.
Comment by ponds4life on January 9, 2013 at 1:34pm I love him as Finnick I think he will do well in this role. He knows the pressure of being the character because of I quote I read on EW. Of course Jennifer is flawless.
