If it's crap ... We'll tell you

Shield of Frozen Injustice posted a statusI'm an advent gamer. I love playing games, I love watching them, I love learning new things about them and I love finding new ones to get in to. The month of November had finally arrived and from the beginning until the end, I was hooked on every game I had picked up ^_^
The first two of the month were Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception and Sonic Generations.
Let me just say that the collector's edition for Uncharted 3 was everything I could have hoped for. I still wear Drake's necklace around. It's an amazing must-have for any Uncharted fan. Being able to place that figure upon my shelf with all of my others felt great. I still have to stop and admire him from time to time :3 The game was an awesome experience. I enjoyed it all the way through. It wasn't perfect, I must admit. I'm all for difficult A.I. but when they swarmed you, they SWARMED you. One mistake and you could find yourself replaying a specific part multiple times until you finally get it down. Though A.I. aside, there were small texture hiccups that I noticed. Then again, when you're pushing the PS3 to its fullest capability, that tends to happen. The game was gorgeous. I found myself standing around doing nothing at times just to admire the scenery. As for the story, lots of character development between Drake and Sully. It was nice to learn a lot more about them. Not as strong as a whole like the first two games but still a solid experience. All and all, I would give this game a 9.5/10.
Moving on to my favorite boy in blue. Sonic the Hedgehog. Over the years, Sonic Team has not given Sonic the treatment he deserves. His games have slowly spiraled downward so when they announced this game and the idea behind the gameplay, I was sold. It was a must-have for my collection. When I got it and started things up, it was surprisingly more than I had expected. This is definitely a game made for Sonic fans. From nostalgic collectibles throughout the game (mostly music) to level designs, the game was like something that I had truly been waiting for. As a Sonic fan, it was awesome to run through most of these stages with the same music tracks and level design with a twist of 3D to the visuals. Now the reason I say "most of these stages" is because these levels seem to go through various points in Sonic's past. I stopped playing Sonic games after Sonic the Hedgehog (2006) shot me in the soul so stages based on various games after that were pretty lost to me. Other than that, the game had a good feel to it. All except for the English voice acting. I don't know what happened over time but they completely redid the cast and it sounds god awful. Save yourself the pain, turn on subtitles and switch to Japanese. You can never go wrong with the original, TRUST ME! Other than that train wreck, there was a lot of speed, a great soundtrack of old and remixed jams. I'd give this one an 8/10.
I've babbled enough in this post so I think I'll separate them into two parts ^_^
