Novels on the web: Are you down?

So, as I'm looking for a literary agent, I'm starting to play with the idea of serializing my novel: The Royal Order of the Blue Crayon over the web, probably via regular updates via a blog and RSS feed, supported by a Paypal button and Google ads.

Now, the big question here: how many of you would be interested in reading a novel in this manner? I'm still mulling over ideas of format, number of updates per week and so forth, so the idea is still very firmly in beta. But if you'd be interested in seeing some long-form fiction played out over a number of months or possibly years, let me know in the comments.

If I'm not mistaken isn't that how Dickens work was published, granted not all of his work but some of it on a chapter by chapter basis?  I think it would more than work; thumbs up from me.

People do it all the time over websites like Fanfiction.net.And a young author named Marie Lu whom I've been following for nearly five years recently got her book published by Penguin Group and it now has a movie deal, and at first that is how she released her own book. I think it could work. Would I personally read it? Depends on the story subject matter, for me. I don't spend much time reading novels any more, so it'd have to be and interesting idea to me.
