Christmas time is here, and for theatre that means it time for the annual hoilday movie. Last year around this time the family movie was This Christmas which showcase a black family around Christmas. This year we get an all Puerto Rican Family in the film title
Nothing like the Holidays.

The film showcases Rodriguez family, as the grown up children return home to the house of their upbring to celebrate which could be the last Christmas as a family with their parents.
Is there anything new here compare to other Family theme Christmas movies; No. It goes thru the same steps most of these films do. Kids come home to their parents house with problems and the parents in turn have their own problems. Thru the course of the movie these problems come to light which cause conflict. However an ever bigger issue arise which cause the family to resolve the smaller problems and pull together as a family and deal with the bigger problem. With that said, I do believe this was an entertaining movie.
Acting is good, there are some funny parts in the movie and the dramatic scenes are believable. Debra Messing (who's plays this years odd white woman out) shines in this movie.
Overall I would give this a rental.
