The ability to make Miis was a great feature as well.
The joystick thing above the arrow pad is really friendly and gives you great control. However there is hardly any grip on the joystick... Or the device itself!
The 3D can get annoying at times, but you CAN turn it off if you don't want it. On the right game or application, the 3D is really jaw-dropping. However it isn't the best thing for under 7 kids, or above 40 adults. If someone is trying to watch you though, they will have a tough time as the 3D used mirrors. You have to be sitting at a perfect distance and direction from the screen to have decent 3D
The Online interactions are much improved from the DSi with the ability to add friends and actually play online. One of the good games to do online play would be Mario Kart. However the ability to find certain routers is limited especially for apartments WiFi. The browser is limited, but at least isn't Opera Powered anymore. There isn't many DEMOS for games, and the demos take up a bit of memory.
It has Netflix though now! It works well, but the free trial for it must be activated by a computer only, and that gets quite annoying.
I wish that after you go to "Home" some games using online interactions messing up the game.
The battery life is limited and doesn't show the % of battery you have left. Instead it blinks a red light like "Bro!!! Ya battery is Tired!!!"
Minecraft could be a really cool thing to add with it.
(Some credit to Jaromir, my friend, for his input)
The Internet will try to load big pages like forms, this site, Facebook, Blogs, Wiki, or anything with a long page. It will restart the page and open and close it over and over.
It would be nice if there was DLC (Downloadable Content) for more games. The only one that does that is New Super Mario 2 but the extra content costs money.
The memory is very limited, and the 3DS XL should be larger, instead of focusing on a larger screen, as the screen get.
The StreetPass is very fun as it shares Miis and such with other player with a 3DS or Wii that you pass, and with those Miis, you can play little mini games with them and earn hats for your Mii. Ill admit, I love that feature.
However it is an updating system that has sofware pdates so its always improving.
I do feel that the worst thing about it is the 3D... And I sorta bought it for the 3D.
Overall the system leaves much to be desired, but definitely a great step for Nintendo and an interesting 3D affect.
I give it 3 and 1/2 Stars.
