So are you saying that the name Guiddo (or is it Gweedo) is spoken more in this movie than on an episode of Jersey Shore?

I will be directing the sequel sixty-NINE, it will feature many great oral performances from Penelope Cruz and Nicole Kidman.

So, No Nudity? None of the hot chicks in the movie get all 'artistically nude'?

If they did I'd give this movie a standing ovation without leaving my seat.

Oh Nine, well if that isn't a original title for a movie (He said sarcastically).

Comment by Irvin 5 hours ago They didn't/couldn't cut Nicole Kidman's number because her song, "Unusual Way" is actually the most popular song from the musical. (someone who commented earlier)

Just saw the movie yesterday. I really enjoyed it. I concur with Irvin. There are good songs in Nine, Be Italian, Unusual Way, My Husband Makes Movies. Unusual Way and My Husband Makes Movies are actually pretty standard for musical theater auditions. I don't really get what Cyrus was saying. Maybe Kate Hudson's song was about film. The others were more about the dynamics of the complex interpersonal relationships created by Guido's philandering and whatnot. I was pleasantly surprised at how good Daniel Day-Lewis' singing voice is. Everyone churned out pretty good performances. As for staging, the only numbers that were really anything spectacular/creative were Be Italian and Guido's song at the latter half of the movie in the empty theater. I don't think the point was that you should sympathize with him. The movie was as much the women's as it was his. I connected with Marion Cotillard as his wife. In a more fleeting way I sympathized with the other women in the film. The matinee rating is fair though. Obviously, I did have some prior knowledge of this as a musical so for people who enjoyed the revival with Antonio Banderas (not that I saw it, I just have it on my iPod) or enjoy the music will probably like the film. If you go in expecting Chicago, you probably won't enjoy it as much.
