The movies in the best order I can get them.
“Down in the Delta” there was a good movie that I never saw.
“At First Sight” a blind Val Kilmer still gets some hot tail.
I slept through this one, so I can only imagine it “In Dreams”
“Varsity Blues” I stopped watching high-school football, when I left high-school.
“Virus” after The Abyss, Deep Raising, Leviathan, Deep-Star 6, I was tired of being on a boat fighting some monster or alien or killer.
“Gloria” mobsters with a heart are really lame mobsters.
“She's All That” uh, no she ain’t.
Mel came back for some “Payback”
“Simply Irresistible” was one I simply resisted.
“Blast from the Past” provided a cute little blast.
“Message in a Bottle” had the message that you can track anyone down.
“My Favorite Martian” was my least favorite movie.
“Jawbreaker” broke my spirit
“October Sky” dragged in parts, but had one hell of a send off at the end.
“Office Space” and copiers the world over shook in fear.
“200 Cigarettes” equals 10 packs, equals a little over a week of smokes. I’d rather have the cigarettes than watching
this movie again.
“8MM” I'll never get tired of hurting you, is still one of my favorite movie quotes.
“The Other Sister” if your ‘retarded’ sister moves in and does better than you, shouldn’t you really start to question yourself more often?
“Analyze This” the funnier version of The Sopranos.
“Cruel Intentions” was easy on the eyes.
“Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels” blew me away.
“Baby Geniuses” will make you not to want children.
“The Corruptor” was Rush Hour taken seriously.
“The Deep End of the Ocean” is where you’ll find me.
“The Rage: Carrie 2” if I knew it was going to be like this, I would have joined the Prom of the 1976 original.
“Wing Commander” yeah, yeah, yeah, it’s a BAD movie I get it, and yet I still like it.
“Forces of Nature” kept me away from this movie thankfully.
“The King and I” I’ll just watch the one with Yul Brenner.

Is this going to be the last good Murphy movie for the rest of my “Life”
“SLC Punk!” Matthew Illard’s best movie ever.
“Lost and Found” lost it’s way and found shitsville.
“Pushing Tin” is reason why you shouldn’t travel by planes.
“Election” I still don’t understand the appeal of this movie with people.
“eXistenZ” simply put, you’ll either like this movie or hate it. There doesn’t seem to be much middle ground.
“Entrapment” should have been better, but seemed to fall flat.
“Idle Hands” still makes me laugh, even after 10yrs.
“The Mummy” I actually enjoyed this one because it COULD have been a parody of Indiana Jones.
“The Castle” uh, sometimes Australian films just don’t do anything for Americans.
“Black Mask” after Rush Hour it was nice to get a Jet Li movie. But why THIS one?
“A Midsummer Night's Dream” I’m still a sucker for a Shakespeare film.
“Trippin'” tripped all over itself trying to be funny, and fell on it’s face.
“The Love Letter” is one I skipped over, and now I don’t even remember it being made.
“Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace” So much potential, so little delivery.
“Trekkies” One of the funniest, saddest, most disturbing, and honest documentaries ever made. It only depends on
what you want out of it, and you’ll find it.
“Notting Hill” when two people you are burned out on make a movie, you’ll pass on it too.
“The Thirteenth Floor” not really a bad movie, just a complete forgettable one.

“Big Daddy” one of the VERY few Sandler movies I like for personal reasons.
“Eyes Wide Shut” the only way to watch this movie is with your eyes shut.
“Lake Placid” this is the best of the CGI-giant-animal movies.
“Muppets from Space” Gonzo is best as a side character, not the main character.
“The Wood” a highly underrated movie that has some great moments.
“The Blair Witch Project” last time I got sick in the woods was from too much alcohol and not from being bored. (That’s right, I HATED Blair Witch)
“Drop Dead Gorgeous” was a movie I passed on because there wasn’t any nudity.
“The Haunting” man, I had high hopes for this movie, but the ending killed it for me.
“Inspector Gadget” someone needs an Inspector to find out who wrote this trash.
“South Park - Bigger, Longer and Uncut” take the TV restrictions off, and the boys go overboard from time to time.
“Summer of Sam” another Spike Lee film that I felt went too far.
“Wild Wild West” every star gets ONE free pass, this is Will Smith’s.
“American Pie” wow, maybe I should just post a blog about this movie instead. And not a good one.

“Mystery Men” still a movie that I hate half of it, and love the other half.
“The Sixth Sense” scared me senseless the first time I saw it.
“The Thomas Crown Affair” by the time Rene Russo got topless, I didn’t give a shit.
“Bowfinger” I still don’t like this movie, but think that Murphy actually did a good job.
“Brokedown Palace” one of the few all-girl prisons I REFUSE to go to, but damn is it a hard hitting movie.
“Detroit Rock City” uh, it’s not THAT hard to get into a KISS concert.
“Mickey Blue Eyes” starting to think that Hugh Grant’s most serious role was picking up a hooker, because these comedies aren’t funny.
“Teaching Mrs. Tingle” yeah right. Teachers back in the 70’s knew how to take care of troubled kids.
“Universal Soldier: The Return” wow, Van Damme really did do a lot of movies.
“The 13th Warrior” still the best way to settle an engineering dispute.
“The Astronaut's Wife” Major Tom crash and burns.
“A Dog of Flanders” a cute, but somewhat forgettable movie.
“Dudley Do-Right” how sad that Brandon Fraser captures the true source of an animated show, and it’s still a shitty movie.
“Chill Factor” left me feeling ice cold towards this movie.
“Outside Providence” it’s funny how pot leads to a rough family life.
“Love Stinks” and so does this movie.

“For Love of the Game” doesn’t Costner know that 3 baseball movies and you’re out?
“American Beauty” for such a great movie, I was bored almost the whole time.
“Double Jeopardy” someone should have sat these writers down and explained the law to them a little more, because the whole concept is ridicules.
“Jakob the Liar” passed on this movie, because I was tired of Robin Williams at this point.
“Mumford” another movie I passed on, and everyone seems “mum” about.
“Dog Park” better yet, just take your dog out back and play with it instead of watching this movie.
“Simon Sez” I’ll just give you the names of the “Stars” of the movie. Dane Cook, and if that isn’t enough to steer you away… Dane Cook AND Dennis Rodman.
“The Adventures of Elmo in Grouchland” isn’t it sad when Sesame Street movies start to suck?
“Drive Me Crazy” drove me up the wall.
“Mystery, Alaska” who won the game? I forgot.
“Three Kings” a movie that I actually liked, but haven’t seen in about 5 years.
“Random Hearts” needed a new heart to stay alive, as a movie not the plot.
“Superstar” was neither a star nor super.
“Fight Club” There was no movie. There WAS no movie. (First two rules)
“The Story of Us” wow, a movie that’s more realistic than any other movie. Too bad they made it about average people having average lives, living in average surroundings. Sort of average.
“The Omega Code” man, Rico should stick to shooting bugs.
“Bats” I’m torn between this movie. REALLY GOOD personal memories associated with this REALLY BAD movie.
“The Best Man” another movie I passed on.
“Bringing Out the Dead” I wanted to like this movie, I really did. I just couldn’t.
“Crazy in Alabama” if they had focused on one story, it would have been better.
“Three to Tango” cute but forgettable movie.
“Beyond the Mat” this is the truth behind wrestling.
“House on Haunted Hill” uh, Marilyn Manson did a good remake of an Eurythmics song, other than that…. didn’t do much for me.
“Music of the Heart” I passed on this one.
“Being John Malkovich” for $200 you get some STRANGE moments of being John, and it’s worth the price.

“The Suburbans” my stomach still feels queasy from watching this movie.
“The Bachelor” you know, for $10Million, I could be married by Midnight tonight.
“The Bone Collector” I didn’t see this until 2004, so I had a build up that the movie couldn’t live up to. Anyone else think it was sort of boring?
“The Insider” truth still can’t beat money.
“Anywhere But Here” would a teenager REALLY be upset if mom wanted to move to California?
“Dogma” Buddy Christ is watching you.
“Light it Up” I passed on this one.
“The Messenger: The Story of Joan of Arc” man, Milla just didn’t have it in her for this movie.
“Pokemon: The First Movie” burn, burn, BURN IN HELL Pokemon. (Can you tell I hate Pokemon?)
“Sleepy Hollow” I like Sleepy Hollow, but DAMN Tim Burton needs to understand the concept of primary COLORS.
“The World Is Not Enough” you know that 007 is pushing the bounds of believability when they try to make Denise Richards as a nuclear physicist named “Christmas Jones”.
“Toy Story 2” I’ve yet to see this one all the way through. I have meant to, just not gotten around to it.
“End of Days” maybe it’s time for Arnold to think of doing something other than movies.
“Flawless” I passed on this one.
“Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo” good message, bad movie, lousy actors.
“The Green Mile” if the man wants the light on at night, leave it on.
“The Cider House Rules” Goodnight, you princes of Maine, you kings of New England.
“Cradle Will Rock” I passed on this one.
“Anna and the King” the King and I, only without the music and dancing. But, not a bad movie on it’s own, just not as memorable.
“Bicentennial Man” look, I love Isaac Asimov’s stories as much as the next Sci-fi geek, but I HATE this movie.
“Stuart Little” a cute little movie that I admit to being a guilty pleasure.
“Magnolia” still one of the few movies that will make me cry at the end.
“Any Given Sunday” you’ll find me watching football, and not this movie about football.
“Galaxy Quest” that poor little pig-lizard.
“Man on the Moon” no matter how good this movie is said to be, if I don’t like Jim Carrey and I don’t like Andy Kaufman then why would I want to watch a movie with Jim Carrey playing Andy Kaufman?
“The Talented Mr. Ripley” I wanted to see this one, but never got a chance.
“Girl, Interrupted” boy, what a movie.
“Fantasia 2000” I swear someone put some LSD in the water cooler at Disney.
“The Hurricane” still one of Denzel’s best movies.
Over all, I'd have to say that 1999 was a very good year for movies indeed. Possibly a "perfect year" for some people, and I'll even admit that if you feel that way I can understand. For me, it sort of started off slowly and built up a good head of steam. Even the movies that sputtered (here and there) seemed to be of at least passable quality in the production values, so you couldn't really be that mean to them if you wanted to. Probably the best part of the year was the second half when there was a steady stream of good movies being released every month (or two weeks sometimes). Sure, there are some really bad movies mixed into the line-up as well. But even the bad movies get overshadowed by the good movie before it or after it. Sadly, there are some real casualties as well. SLC Punk for example was really beaten up by The Matrix. As hard as it is to believe, The Iron Giant was a box-office failure only made $23,159,305 in domestic earnings, when it cost $70Million to make. As far as the "winners" go, let me ask you. Would you be supporting Kevin Spacey for American Beauty Oscar, or Denzel Washington for The Hurricane? Would you have given the Oscar to Michael Caine for The Cider House Rules, or would you give it to Tom Cruise for Magnolia? What about American Beauty, The Cider House Rules, The Green Mile, The Insider or The Sixth Sense for Best Picture? (American Beauty won) Even if you don't think that a movie should have won, when you look at the lists of nominations, you have to admit that a lot of them really did deserve the chance to win.
Speaking of winners, here's the top ten movies (And I got the right year this time)
Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace $431,088,301
The Sixth Sense $293,506,292
Toy Story 2 $245,852,179
Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me $206,040,086
The Matrix $171,479,930
Tarzan $171,091,819
Big Daddy $163,479,795
The Mummy $155,385,488
Runaway Bride $152,257,509
The Blair Witch Project $140,539,099
I LOVE Galaxy Quest. LOVE it. It hilarious...and even more funny because I'm a big nerd. I enjoyed the Mummy, and Sixth Sense (hands down M. Night's best....I still think he has potential...despite what every single movie since Sixth Sense). The Green Mile made me cry. I enjoyed Sleepy Hollow. I also prefer Princess Mononoke to Spirited Away which I still like...but then again I really enjoy Howl's Moving Castle and it flopped.

I know that that this comment is probably going to paint a target on the back of my head, but i liked Phamtom Menace. I thought it was way better than the other two (though thats not saying much).I thought Liam Neeson was awesome in the movie, and in my opinion Darth Maul was one of the better villains. And yes, Princess Mononoke is AWESOME, one of my top ten favourite films.
Styar Wars was sh8t I hated it. Toy Story 2 was great I loved that film Austin powers was funny Matrix amazing great film Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels was just cool Mummy sh*t Blair Witch Project was great In loved this film Fantasia 2000 wa just great to looks at. Iron Giant was amazing and South perk was really funny Sleepy Hollow was very dark and it was good. I loved 10 Things I hate about you mainly sice it was Heath Ledger's first film. Overall 1999 grerat year.
Princess Mononoke didn't make it to the USA till 1999. Yes Spirited Away was better. If you liked Princess Mononoke more, than thats what you like. Good for you. I think I like Isao Takahata films more.
Hmm.. which movie to comment on... Lake Placid I guess:
I think Anaconda is the best of the cgi-giant-animal movies. But Lake Placid is still good. I'm a huge fan of that genre, and also the genre that has Arachnophobia, Bats, etc. I guess a cynic would call them "Jaws-ripoffs" and "Birds-ripoffs" respectively.
