PornoChris posted a statusI can't even describe how excited I am for Disney's 'Wreck-It Ralph.' After, admittedly, not paying much attention to it at first, the film's initial trailer sold me in a big way. It combines our love of classic gaming with comedy that will evidently play well to both kids and adults; always my litmus test for a good family film. This new trailer not only gives us a few more jokes at which to chuckle, but also delves more deeply into the emotional heart of the movie. Again, I'm sold. Take a look at the trailer below and let us know what you think.

Comment by Wizpig on September 13, 2012 at 7:46pm Yes, I'm only saying I hope the interaction and introduction video-game characters is as fluid as the toys in Toy Story.
Comment by Tron on September 13, 2012 at 6:52pm The point of having these characters is to kind of create a video game world, if the movie is all about video games, then wouldn't be kind of assumed that you would need to populate it with video game characters? Since that this movie is about old school, classic gaming, then it would only be natural to use old school characters like Sonic, Bowser, Zangief, and clyde. That is the point of the cameos in this movie.
Comment by Wizpig on September 13, 2012 at 4:47pm If I get my moneys worth it's not cash grab because it delivered what I went there to go see... If you think it's entertaining it's not a waste of your money. I'm looking at the content, I wasn't laughing at the trailers and I don't see what's so entertaining about seeing a video game character for a second on the big screen for no apparent reason. Just because it's a video-game property doesn't mean it has to suck on all points just for the sake of the cameo.
I'm saying I'm being sceptical. Every product themed on a known property or references are usually over hyped towards release. A person sees something familiar or nostalgic that catches their attention and will immediately say "take my money!" or "this is gonna be the shit!!!" like sheep, no questions asked just like a fish grabbing onto bait. I really want it to be good, but I'm not going to be blind to everything wrong with the film to force myself to thinking its good if it isn't.
2 songs used in the trailer and I think 2 custom tracks.
Lipps Inc- Funkytown
Fun- Some Nights
A little mixed on the song choices... probably because I heard them used so many god dam times. I see why they were used though, but I hope they are well placed if in the movie. Well hopes are Disney Pixar will step up their game (no pun intended).
Comment by Nigel on September 13, 2012 at 12:37pm Wiz Pig If you think it is a cash grab, don't go see it, and you won't be "tired" of it. Also, every movie released by a major studio with a budget of millions is a "cash grab", dissected and reworked by studio execs and poked and prodded by marketing strategists. If you are really tired of "cash grabs" you would never buy anything that isn't food clothes or shelter and you damn sure wouldn't watch another movie in a theater.
I think the movie looks entertaining.
Comment by Nigel on September 13, 2012 at 12:32pm What song is that, in the last half of the trailer? I like it.

Comment by FlyingOctopusman on September 13, 2012 at 9:59am this looks amazing
Comment by Wizpig on September 13, 2012 at 8:53am @ "The Hawk" I'm just sick of the mediocre cash grabs
Lately when it comes to the inclusion of a video-game property into movies it's been all about including as much shit as possible without even considering a good plot and a purpose for every character that's being added. The trailer is telling me the movie can go either way: Glitch girl has the potential to be a very annoying character, the music choice sets a Madagascarish tone (in other words looking for some cheap laughs) and I feel that shit is just being forced into the movie just for the heck of it to detract from a possibly subpar movie.
I understand everyone's enthusiasm but I really didn't get from these trailers that they are trying to do anything special with this. I don't want another Tekken or or Street Fighter failure to remind me why we shouldn't put movies and video-games together.
Comment by rocco burntire on September 13, 2012 at 5:54am "Sonic is the Paulie Shore of video game characters."
@ aacro
if he's the paulie shore then who is his little orange bahhhhuuuuuddddy? definitely not the weasel! (lip smacking slurping noises)
on a serious note paulie shore owes me for making me lose memory space in my brain...it could have been filled with some useful knowledge instead of the weasel sound......bastard!
movie looks fun ..for this flick they should put a slot on the theatre door and the only way to open it is to put quarters in it
