I am really looking forward to 'Cloud Atlas.' The epic new sci-fi fantasy from The Wachowski's and 'Run Lola Run's Tom Tykwer is a sweeping story that links characters across time. The first trailer for the film hit back in July, and was an unwieldy five-minute cross section of the movie. This more digestible trailer showcases the gorgeous production design and once again highlights the fact that it is the song, "The Cloud Atlas Sextet" that binds all the story lines together. Take a look at the trailer below and let us know what you think.

'Cloud Atlas' hits theaters October 26th

@Smackgod~ October 26th.

Can't wait.. even though it seems to be a love it or 'meh' it based upon advance reviews.

I think I'm gonna have to see this on the big screen just because it looks GORGEOUS.

I cried a bit and laughed with something like joy and nostalgia. Quite a romantic idea, to think that you can meet your soul mate many times through the eons, may there be odds that make it hard to remain together they won't be as strong as love.

Bullshit of course, regarding souls and their trascendence, but there's some vague truth in it and the yearning it inspires.

To think that I could meet my parents in another life, or that I've met friends who were as close in a yesterlife... it's heartwarming fantasy.

Not to be anal, but it's actually not a song - it's a piece. There aren't any words, because it's performed with instruments, not voices.

I'm kind of understanding it now. Hoping it all plays out good.

@Hermon

I've read the book and the main point of the book is about reincarnation and how the actions within a previous life can impact the the lives of the later reincarnations, as well as the cyclical nature of life and how people separated by hundreds of years make the same decisions over and over again as well as the breaking of that cycle.

I wouldn't go so far as to say the book makes complete sense but i think the concept could actually work better as a movie.  all i know is i cant fucking wait.
