The full theatrical trailer for Marvel Studio's "Thor" just hit the internet last night, and it seems to have swayed more than a few on-the-fence fans towards it's side. Rather than the character-centric teasers and TV spots, the new trailer shows off some of the recently polished visual effects and more of the film's action set pieces.

See for yourself:

The trailer also focuses on the three central villains in the film: Thor's malevolent and scheming brother Loki (Tom Hiddleston), the Frost Giants, and "The Destroyer" - a living suit of armor capable of massive destruction in the wrong hands. Directed by Kenneth Branagh and starring Chris Hemsworth and Natalie Portman, "Thor" lands in theaters on May 6th.

I agree with CeBar, the hammer does look a bit flakey, like something from an arcade or carnival...although I don't get how as soon as he lands on earth he's dressed like a random guy...does Asgard keep up with the geek trends?..

Looks cool. Though for some reason all I could think of throughout the whole thing was how much I want an American Gods movie.

@Jaken - We comic book nerds are a wily bunch. There's no rhyme or reason to it. I love the Thor stuff so far, but hate the Cap ones. They love the Cap stuff but dislike the Thor stuff. Diff'rent strokes, and all that.

I wasn't one to read Thor growing up, but this looks hella cool!

indifferent. looks good in terms of action and effects though. we'll see. 3 villains seems a bit much for a first installment though.

This trailer looks awesome and i can't for the movie.

I was introduced to Thor thru the ultimate avengers series by mark millar so i feel that this version honors that version pretty well. I dont think that he transforms into Donald Blake but i can live with that.

I'm not entirely sure about the human characters since the old dude doesn't say anything and natalie portman's character isn't really developed but as this is a trailer, I could be wrong. Kat Denning's character is the funny sidekick wjho i like because she is funny and she's hot so that's a plus.
