New Theater Standees For 'Ghost Rider: SOV,' '21 Jump Street,' & 'MIB 3'

One of the things I always wanted to collect, but never had the absurd amount of room required to store, is movie theater standees. Sometimes, these are just larger, block versions of the poster, but on occasion they are sprawling three-dimensional mini-exhibits to a given film. The recently revealed standee for 'Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance,' the Brian Taylor directed sequel to Marvel Studios' 2007 'Ghost Rider,' is definitely the latter. This is also true of the standee for '21 Jump Street,' next year's Phil Lord and Christopher Miller directed adaptation of the 1980s TV series. However, the standee for 'Men in Black III,' directed once again by Barry Sonnenfeld, is woefully in the former category. Take a gander at the two below and tell us what you think.

'Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance' rides into theaters February 17, 2012

'21 Jump Street' hits theaters March 16, 2012

'Men in Black III' lands in theaters May 25, 2012

I actually think the MIBIII standee looks all right. Yes it is a strain on the eyes, but at least it is trying to create a distinct identity for itself compared to many other standees and posters I see that are just bland. Of course, it all depends on the movie, not the poster. We will have to wait until we see clips to determine how good any of these movies are.

Y'know what, at least this is being shot on 35mm for all of us who'll be watching it in 2D.

Men in Black 3 Tagline: "We just don't really care."

As if MIB3 comes up with one painfully eye-hurting poster, they come up with TWO painfully eye-hurting posters.

No one can say anything about MIB3 since no trailers has yet to come forth. I say in the next month we will see a trailer.
