New 'Texas Chainsaw 3D' Clip
I've gone back and forth on the new 'Texas Chainsaw 3D.' The part of me that doesn't hate horror remakes remains optimistic, but the part of me that keeps being forced to look at all the marketing material can't help but feel a sense of impending doom. This latest clip is not helping. I like that it's the first real clip of Leatherface on a rampage, but the overly slick look and the odd, unnecessary shying away from profanity produced no small eye-roll from me. Take a look at the clip below and let us know what you think.

This crap loks tired as hell. I mean after the first two, you can only do so much with a guy running around with a chainsaw. It might end up making alot of money do to Trey Songz running around shirtless.

The shying away from profanity is probably just for the preview. Since this promotional material has to reach as wide an audience as possible, I can see why some more objectionable material would be deleted before mass release. As a horror fan, I'm sure you remember how Betsy Rue's running scene from My Bloody Valentine 3D was digitally edited so that, in the trailer, she was wearing panties - whereas in the movie, she was bare-assed naked.

TCM = Classic
TCM 2 = Okay
TCM 3= Meh
TCM 4 = WTF was this shit??
Remake= Pretty damn good
Remake Prequel = Okay
3D = I'll still see it but it's gonna be............okay.
