thekingofreyes3 posted a statusOn this glorious Friday, we thought we'd give you a little bonus to send you off into your weekend. We have for you not one, not two, but three new images each from a different 2013 superhero blockbuster. First, Hugh Jackman strikes an angry pose in James Mangold's 'The Wolverine.' Next, Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow) gives Tony Stark (Robert Downey, Jr.) a bear hug in Shane Black's 'Iron Man 3.' And finally, Superman (Henry Cavill) is in hot water with the authorities in the latest image from Zack Snyder's 'Man of Steel.' Sure, there is nothing revolutionary about the stills, and no new insights into their respective movies can be gleaned from them, but they do serve as fitting reminders of just how massive the summer of 2013 will be. Color me stoked. Take a look at the images below and let us know what you thin.
'Iron Man 3' hits theaters May 3rd; 'Man of Steel' on June 14th; 'The Wolverine' on July 26th

Comment by Thanagarian Snare Beast on January 14, 2013 at 1:53pm Already did read it, stop evading the question. Where did Dave Gibbons say that it was his intention to portray Dr. Manhattan, through his musculature, that he was "once been a very ordinary man turned hairless godlike being" and that Snyder depiction somehow deviates from that.
Even if it was Gibbons intent, as you continue to fail to prove, I fail to see how Snyders depiction wouldn't fit under the same lofty criteria. There is absolutely no way to properly outline such an inanely abstract concept, especially not by examining the shape of his thighs.
@OdO Dude, First Class was awesome, what are you talking about? And no good movie from Snyder? Yeah, Sucker Punch sucks, but Watchmen, 300, the Dawn of the Dead remaker, and Legend of the Guardians are AWESOME!!!!

Comment by Thanagarian Snare Beast on January 14, 2013 at 6:14am Uh..
Not really at all what I asked, but I suppose answering the question properly wouldn't give you that unwarranted sense of self-importance you seem to be going for...
Comment by Happy Birthday Roboto on January 14, 2013 at 3:33am Wait did someone ask me to confirm that Watchmen is mean to have a realistic (but not plausible) tone? Maybe they should try actually reading the book!
Comment by Thanagarian Snare Beast on January 13, 2013 at 9:56pm Magi, you realise your assuming just about as much right?
'Sides, hope and inspiration don't mean a whole fucking lot when there's nothing to challenge it. Superman's greatest enemy has always been cynicism, how can his message of hope and moral conviction possibly have any impact if everyone's already on his page? How can it be considered an ill worth curing if it doesn't threaten the populace at large?
Even getting past that, its ludicrous and intellectually insulting to push the idea that nobody would challenge him during the early days. If I lived in the DC 'verse I'd be outraged if the government let such a glaring homeland security risk run free without insuring accountability first. "Holy crap, here is a guy that can fly, is bulletproof, can throw trains and has given us absolutely no reliable insight into his motives and origin? Why hasn't this man been given the keys to the city yet?!?"
Comment by Thanagarian Snare Beast on January 13, 2013 at 9:15pm Roboto, can you please provide me the source where Dave Gibbons confirmed that was his intent? Because otherwise that's a load of conjecture that doesn't really make any sense.

Comment by Happy Birthday Roboto on January 13, 2013 at 4:35pm Zack Snyder is just bad news! :(
Comment by Happy Birthday Roboto on January 13, 2013 at 4:33pm Guys take a closer look at these two photos; as those of us who aren't completely stupid can see the comic artwork of Dr Manhattan was designed to make the character look like he had once been a very ordinary man turned hairless godlike being; but Snyder misinterpreted (at the least that aspect of) the character by making him look like He-Man.
Please notice the very large pectorals on movie Manhattan, please also notice how incredibly well sculpted his abdominal muscles are and of course those thighs (hubba hubba)!
...you know just looking at this picture I notice just how surprisingly cartoonish and ridiculous the movie is and just how far it missed the ideas of the book which went for realism! (Please note there is a difference between realism and plausibility!)
