I have to be honest, somehow in the swelter of all the highly-anticpated movies being released in 2012, Peter Ramsey's 'Rise of the Guardians,' based on the novel by William Joyce ('Meet the Robinsons'), managed to stay completely off my radar. The plot of this animated adventure goes a little something like this...

When an evil spirit called Pitch becomes bent upon taking over the world by inspiring fear in the hearts of kids everywhere, a group of our greatest heroes — Santa, the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy, the Sandman and Jack Frost — band together for the first time, determined to stand in Pitch’s way. More than a collection of storybook subjects, The Guardians are also a band of superheroes, who possess their own special powers. Now joined in opposition of a common foe, the Guardians heed the call and combine their powers to defeat Pitch and protect the world from his campaign of fear.

The voice talent in this film is staggering: Alec Baldwin, Chris Pine, Hugh Jackman, Isla Fisher, and Jude Law. Really don't understand how I missed this one. Luckily, a brand new poster for the film was released today facilitate my introduction. Take a gander at the poster below and let us know what you think.

'Rise of the Guardians' hits theaters November 21st

When I first read the title of this movie I thought it was a sequel to that Owl movie from last year. "Legend of the Guardians" was it? Interesting concept... we'll see how it is later.

Something my grand daughter or younger Grandsons will want Grand Pa to take them to....And their parents will gladly pay my way to avoid having to go themselves........

I'm guessing Hugh Jackman's the Easter Bunny. He's never never going to be able to play down those Wolverine sideburns no matter how clean shaven he becomes.
