I have to be honest, somehow in the swelter of all the highly-anticpated movies being released in 2012, Peter Ramsey's 'Rise of the Guardians,' based on the novel by William Joyce ('Meet the Robinsons'), managed to stay completely off my radar. The plot of this animated adventure goes a little something like this...

When an evil spirit called Pitch becomes bent upon taking over the world by inspiring fear in the hearts of kids everywhere, a group of our greatest heroes — Santa, the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy, the Sandman and Jack Frost — band together for the first time, determined to stand in Pitch’s way. More than a collection of storybook subjects, The Guardians are also a band of superheroes, who possess their own special powers. Now joined in opposition of a common foe, the Guardians heed the call and combine their powers to defeat Pitch and protect the world from his campaign of fear.

The voice talent in this film is staggering: Alec Baldwin, Chris Pine, Hugh Jackman, Isla Fisher, and Jude Law. Really don't understand how I missed this one. Luckily, a brand new poster for the film was released today facilitate my introduction. Take a gander at the poster below and let us know what you think.

'Rise of the Guardians' hits theaters November 21st

Is this a real poster? It looks like a Fan's idea of what the movie may be like.

This is not even mentioned on Dreamworks website. Must be a hint...

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought the poster looked like a wreck.
