Brian posted a statusWes Anderson's new film 'Moonrise Kingdom' looks to be an eclectic bag of humor, drama, and quirkiness. That is to say, it looks like a Wes Anderson film. He really is one of those directors whose films are either your cup of tea or they really aren't. Personally, I'm still not sure into which camp I fall. If you are also on the fence about 'Moonrise Kingdom,' I doubt this new clip will do much to sway you in either direction. In the clip, a peeved social services employee (Tilda Swinton), chastises Bruce Willis and Edward Norton for losing a young boy. It's somewhat humorous, but here's hoping the rest of the film is much funnier. Also, it appears there may be a spoiler in this clip so if you're intent on going into 'Moonrise' blind, you may want to avoid watching. Otherwise take a look at the clip and let us know what you think.
'Moonrise Kingdom' hits theaters May 25th

Comment by stalksthemoon on April 21, 2012 at 3:17pm I like how so many Ghostbuster fanboys assume that the reason Bill Murray isn't going to do Ghostbusters is to just be a dick. Has it ever occurred to any of you the reason he he doesn't want to do it is because the script/ideas for it just suck? I'd rather see no third Ghostbuster movie then a crappy one, and if Murray not being in the project stops it from happening, that just means we probably avoided another Kingdom of the Crystal Skull scenario. Think about this way, when was the last time Ivan Rietman and Dan Akroyd made a really good movie?
As for this movie, sure, I like Wes Anderson enough.
Comment by Kyle Roger on April 20, 2012 at 11:43pm I wont be seeing this for two reasons: 1) Wes Anderson films always look funny but then end up trying too hard to be offbeat and quirky, which results in something dry or hit and miss. The Coen brothers do offbeat comedy much better. 2) I've decided on boycotting Bill Murray for turning his back on true comedy classics like the Ghostbusters.
good clip, Plan on seeing this when it comes out. Looks great!!
