I read the first book with the deal being that a co-worker of mine would have to read "Let The Right One In", one of the best vampire books and movies of this century, so far. After having gotten through the first book, there is no way I'll watch the movies or read any of the other books, unless the lives of my children are at stake ...

twilight may have come out before true blood, but the books true blood are based on (southern vampire mysteries) were published years before twilight was. Im pretty sure stephanie meyers ripped them off

Send your friend to a psych ward. Liking the book is one thing. Calling it good literature (or even decent literature) is a clear cut sign of a psychopath.

I got into an argument (WITH ONE OF MY FRIENDS, WHO IS A DUDE LIKE I AM) that Twilight sucks balls and that it is poorly written garbage.

And he defended it as "excellent literature".

God damn, this world is fucked up.

Here's what I'm going to do this weekend when I go to the movies and I suggest you do this to:

At the theater, open the door into New Moon and shout out "EDWARD (or JACOB) DIES AT THE END" and just run as fast as you can so nobody catches you. That way people will think you spoiled the movie.

I did it three times last time when Twilight came out.
