Theredknite posted a statusAnother of my most geekily anticipated films of 2012 is 'Iron Sky,' the film featuring a plot that suggests that a faction of the Nazi party fled to the moon after WWII, set up a colony, and are now returning to reclaim the Earth. I first saw the proof-of-concept fundraiser trailer during Fantastic Fest in 2008 and I was duly intrigued. Now, finally, we get a more informative trailer. This new trailer also features insight from director Timo Vuorensola as well as cast members--apparently interviewed during early screenings--and the announcement that the film is completed and has been selected to play the Berlin Film Festival. What strikes me about this new trailer is how comical the movie appears to be. The teaser trailer, save for one bird poop joke at the very end, portrayed the film to be a dramatic, somber sci-fi action film. At least, it struck a decidedly more serious tone than does this new one. I've posted both for comparison sake. Take a look below and let us know what you think.
As of right now, 'Iron Sky' does not have a U.S. release date

Comment by Thomas Earl on January 1, 2013 at 4:02pm Just watched on Netflix. It had its cheesy moments, but for a darkly comedic movie, I enjoyed it mostly. It helps coming to it not taking it too seriously but taking its themes to heart and mind.
Comment by Tema Solem on March 11, 2012 at 6:37am Here's reviews of the film. Although it sounds good the reviews don't seem that good

Laibach - B Mashina...The part you hear is the last 1:30 of the song.
Comment by Sid on February 1, 2012 at 5:51am Whats the song that is playing in the teaser?
Comment by KGishFish on January 31, 2012 at 1:35pm I might be the only one who likes the teaser trailer better. Tongue in cheek is fine, but it feels like they're apologizing for the premise. I think nazi's invading earth from the moon is a cool movie idea, so why not try to make it a badass movie? Right now the trailer reminds me of 'Meet the Spartans' and those other awful movies.
It looks like this movie's tongue is set firmly in cheek and that might be the element that makes this movie click.
Comment by Zentraedi77 on January 30, 2012 at 5:34pm I hope this movie is not boring like SuckerPunch!
BTW, f u guys for shitting on everything. Its a movie, they dont have to be fucking documentaries. Get over yourselves.
Comment by Booty Viking on January 30, 2012 at 6:08am Feeling really hyped for this movie. The only big question is how they'll explain the nazis surving out in space for so long, if they even bother explaining it at all.
