One of the coolest images from 'Iron Man 3,' in my opinion, was the first set photo of the Patriot Armor. I've been really looking forward to seeing that suit in action, piloted of course by James "Rhodey" Rhodes (Don Cheadle). Today, a new character poster for Shane Black's upcoming film highlights Rhodes in the armor. As anxious as I am to see the character in action, I have to say I find this new poster really lame. It's too polished and the proportions so odd that it's hard to see it as anything but a Photoshop job. Not exactly thrilling. Take a look at the poster below and let us know what you think.

'Iron Man 3' hits theaters May 3rd

To all Don Cheadle haters: Watch out. He'll turn you into a tree if you're not careful.

It's not terrible, but it's not good either. It does definitely look like Cheadle's head was awkwardly photoshopped onto a CGI image of the armor. And like the last poster they released, I agree that it looks overly glossy and artificial.

But again, it's not too bad. It just could use some improvement.

man i wish disney could buy spiderman so this could be osborn and tie it into the new spiderman...or not even have iron patriot in this movie at all, its starting to feel like their trying to do too much, but we'll see

Now if Marvel movies wanted to be bold, they could switch out Tony for Rhodey who DID leave the military for a while and was Iron Man for 2 different runs in the comics. Now only would that be progressive move, but also diversify the line up a little. Plus RDJr contract is up after IM3.

It does look a bit off, like they added his head to a poster that was originally the full armor. I doubt this poster was meant to end up in theaters.

The photoshop is not even that bad.  it's just a tad glossy, it's just stylized hop off

Really don't see anything wrong with this poster. Just wish Howard was in the suit.

If they wanted it to look like a comic book or a painting... why use a bad photoshop and not an actual painting...?
