Jonathan AKA JodeneSparks posted a statusLike many of you, when I heard they were doing a prequel to 'Alien,' I was slightly perturbed. It's one of my favorite movies of all time, and I didn't see the need to go back and explain away all of the spooky mysteries of the story. But even I can't pretend to be anything but awestruck by these new images from Ridley Scott's 'Prometheus.' The images, from the pages of Entertainment Weekly (via Bloody Disgusting), show various cast members--including Noomi Repace, Michael Fassbender, Idris Elba, and Charlize Theron--as well as the beautiful, and evidentally elaborate, sets that will create the world of the film. Stunning, just stunning. Take a look below and tell us what you think.

Comment by sam mccain on November 28, 2011 at 8:59pm From what I understand a lot more of H.R. Gigers slammin artwork made it into this, that I've wished for years someone would make a film with. Using the Bio-Mechanoid concepts in a film by Ridley Scott is a dream come true for me. I always did think that some of the slightly more human, more relatable beings other than the Alien were a bit more creepy. Maybe it's just a psychological thing. I read that Charlize Theron's character Vickers will be horrifically raped by several of them.....................................Haha, just kidding. Some of you just got really excited.
Comment by FatalGuerrero on November 28, 2011 at 12:55pm It has "atmosphere" heh heh, sorry,; but I'm liking this eerie set wondering how this will tie with the "space jockey"
Comment by Joanne on November 28, 2011 at 12:04pm Stunning? I wouldn't go that far. But they look good and I'm really looking forward to the film.
Comment by mjtfreeze on November 28, 2011 at 6:43am WOO HOO....REAL SETS!!! Love it when they go practical.
Comment by Dr. Detfink on November 27, 2011 at 4:42pm Lasse, I had similar theory myself. Great movies win irregardless...I watched Alien 50 times or more and I STILL find it to be every bit as engaging...though when I saw it as a little boy with my dad it was damaging. Oh lord, was I creeped out!
