Steve Everett posted a discussionWhether you cry yippee-ki-yay or yippee-ki-nay, the fifth 'Die Hard' movie is happening and its release date is creeping up on us fast. We've seen a few trailers and posters thus far, but this latest TV spot features some new footage that enlightens us as to the scale of some of the more destructive set pieces. 'A Good Day to Die Hard?' More like a bad day to work in Moscow city management. Also, as much as I like the idea of John McClane calling himself "the 007 of Plainfield, New Jersey,' how drunk does Bruce Willis sound delivering that line? Take a look at the TV spot below and let us know what you think.

Comment by Anthony Stokes on December 28, 2012 at 9:09am I actually think Die Hard 4 was actually pretty solid, i love dumb action that has a story and decent actors. This looks like it could be really good or really bad. To compare this series to 007 isn't far off, maybe this will be the sky fall of Die Hard
Comment by Yakuza01 on December 27, 2012 at 6:08pm Looking better than the last one (granted, not a very hard thing to do). I agree about the villain (it seems it's going to be the bad guy from Pitch Black so lets see) not being memorable in the last one. I actually think Olyphant could have pulled it off but they gave him shit to work with (McClane got under his skin waaaaay too easily). Would have loved to see Oldman play the bad guy in the series back when he was in his 'villain phase', not that he couldn't do it now but he seems to be inclined to other types of roles nowadays.
Comment by Julian Teamor on December 27, 2012 at 5:49pm Hasn't been a worthy villain since part 3 which could make or brake this sequel...

Comment by SkyFish on December 27, 2012 at 4:44pm I love to see a (sort of) prequel of events that took place in third and fourth die hard movie where john mcclain finishes some form of special forces training course
Comment by Robert Wild on December 27, 2012 at 3:14pm As a fan of the series, I am really looking forward to this. The first and the fourth are the only ones I love, but the other two are at least enjoyable (for me).
The TV spots and trailers are perfect. They show plenty of action and "McClanisms" but still leave much to see in theaters for the first time. I hope to give this film at least a matinee when I see it, can't wait :)
Comment by Ant on December 27, 2012 at 1:52pm i love the first and third films the others are still fun enjoyable action films so i'll go watch this
