I am looking forward to Gavin Hood's filmic adaptation of Orson Scott Card's 'Ender's Game.' The story centers on a futuristic society in which children are taken from their homes at an early age and enrolled into combat school. The school is divided into four barracks, or armies, and the children are trained to be fight a race of aliens with whom the Earth has been feuding for years. The four armies are called Dragon, Asp, Rat, and Salamander. Today, a new still from the movie has been released along with the official logos for all four armies. The image shows Ender (Asa Butterfield) in the school's mess hall with fellow Salamander recruit Petra (Hailee Steinfeld). I'm interested to see how this production brings the settings from the book to life. Take a look at the image and logos below and let us know what you think.

'Ender's Game' hits theaters November 1st

I didn't think the book was special...at all.

The logos for the armies look so barebones though.

only 4 armies? in the book they went from launchies, then divided up into multiple armies, not just 4

I really hope they don't try to make this kid friendly or something as it goes into some pretty heavy territory.  Otherwise, this is pretty much what I imagined while reading the book.  Ender, pretty much, looks like an older version of what I imagined him looking like.

Wow, this looks amazing. I love this book, too bad this is going to be terrible.

i always imagined the settings to be a little less clean and orderly, with more of a firefly or star wars feel. eh whatever im excited for this one
