The early reactions seemed largely positive, but those of us who weren't there would have to wait until the wee small hours of this morning to witness the trailer's official release. Well, in case you had some pressing engagement this morning that precluded you from staying up late enough to see it, we've got the new Spidey trailer just for you! There are quite a few new elements revealed in this trailer, two of which were of particular interest to me: Andrew Garfield's execution of the in-suit demeanor/attitude of New York's favorite web-crawler and the design of The Lizard (played in human form by Rhys Ifans). I have to say I was impressed by both. And you can also easily see where the 3D version would have impressed fans, the elements flying at the screen as part of the skyscraper collapses. But enough of my blathering, take a look at the trailer for yourself.

Two main things that made Raimi's movies the 7th highest grossing moving franchise was they focused on
1) How shitty his life is bein a superhero.
2) How shitty his life is bein an adult.

Comment by BILLO DA CHAMPION on February 8, 2012 at 8:17pm To be honest I am more excited for The Dark Knight Rises and The Avengers but this has definitely been put on my radar. I believe that this will be a good flick but I honestly believe that The Dark Knight Rises will be superior to both films because it's the GODAMN!! Batman. It does have the chance to be better than the Avengers because this trailer shows more story than the Avengers trailer.
Comment by John Lemus on February 8, 2012 at 3:48pm Has Anyone here seen Mirage Man with Marko Zaror
Brilliant film and amazing Super Hero film.
You know what the only thing I want to come from Disney purchasing Marvel Comics. Marvel Comic Characters in games like Kingdom Hearts. A Fighting game with Disney, Sqauresoft and Marvel Comics Characters all in on.
Cloud Versus Wolverine
Ironman Versus Goofy
Sephiroth Versus Doctor Doom
Some crazy shit like that and its all possible

Also - you want a Spidey trailer talk? HERE YOU GO: http://my.spill.com/profiles/blogs/the-amazing-spider-man-trailer-talk
(don't say we never got you anything) :)

@Rocket Joe! - You do realize that the rights won't go back to Disney if it flops, right? Sony's contract for the rights just means they have to have a film in production within a given contract cycle. If this film flops, they'll just give it another 5 years and make another reboot. Sony won't just "give up" on a massive franchise like Spider-Man. If you honestly want Disney/Marvel to get the rights back, you should hope that this one succeeds and makes so much money that Disney decides to buy the rights back from Sony (something that Disney would absolutely do if it was worth their money).
Comment by Beadle Belfry on February 8, 2012 at 12:07pm Eh... I prefer to see New York loving Spidey... If I want "Get teh Vigilante" talk I'll watch some Batman.
