Never Before Seen 'Spider-Man' Trailer Reveals Web-Shooters

Whether you hated or loved Sam Raimi's take on Marvel's Spider-Man, unquestionably one of his biggest deviations from canon was the fact that Parker secreted his webbing from a gland as opposed to constructing a web-shooter. If this recently unearthed, unused teaser for the 2002 film is any indication, it looks like Raimi at least flirted with the idea of holding fast to the web-shooter mechanics from the comics. Though not of the best quality, if you pause the video right after Kirsten Dunst's name is announced (around the :32 mark), you'll clearly see a shot of a wrist-mounted web-shooter. Does it mean anything now? Not really, but it's fascinating to note how much the character changed even from the point wherein they were doing marketing on the film. Take a look at the video below and let us know what you think.

"Never before seen" is not the best word choice, since the trailer I had on my hard drive for years. Meaning - it is/was possible to find.

this reminds of the other trailer that was taken down fast after 9/11. cant believe this trailer was using matrix music

That's Don LaFontaine's voice! RIP he's the reason every trailer has that voice now

I prefer the webshooters, because while climbing and jumping are spider powers, shooting webbing is not.  Spiders do not move that way so it doesn't make sense that that would be part of his powers.  The fact that is mechanical justifies the quantity of webbing and departure in mode of travel vs. real spiders.

SPOILER: And they DO use the fact that it is artificial, as the shooters are damaged at a point in the new movie.

What's that song playing at the very end of the trailer? It doesn't fit at all, but I've heard it before, and I think I liked it?
