HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON
NUMBER 1 OF 2010 IS...................................How To Train Your Dragon with the best Score in any movie this Year. This is the reason why this movie for me inches over Toy Story 3 for me. the music was phenomenal, no words can express how the score really moved me and pumped me up as dragons are flying across the air in combat. the score was conducted by John Powell. check out a sample of the score above this comment and hear for yourself and tell me if i'm wrong.
TRON LEGACY
Second place goes to Daft Punk, the electronic duo from France. I think you don't need to tell me how good the music was in the movie. it may not be the greatest sequel but you can't go out of the cinema without humming at least one song from the movie.
SCOTT PILGRIM VS THE WORLD

Third goes to Scott Pilgrim vs the World. what an awesome movie this was and one of the funniest movie this year. aswell as loving the movie, i also enjoyed the soundtrack too. great collection of songs I can dance too.
THE SOCIAL NETWORK
Fourth: One of the most critical acclaimed movies this year was also praised for its score by Trent Reznor. how can music with no lyrics stand on its own in a drama movie?
INCEPTION
Fifth: TENSION. SUSPENSE those are the words to describe the score for Inception. music so trilling, it will lift you off your seats in anticipation

Comment by rancor slayer on December 26, 2010 at 2:10pm while i have not seen every film this year, im just going by the films that had my favorate scores/soundtracks.
4. Jackass 3D: aside from this movies hilarious stunts and exelent use of 3D, the soundtrack i thought complemented the film very well. such as the opening sequence they used The kids are back by twisted sister while everybody behaved like actual chidren, using the song electric avenue while everybody was being tazed just made that scene even more hilarious, and using the song Memories during the credits to comemorate the past ten years of jackass.
3. Scott Pilgrim vs the World: im not even a fan of scott pilgrim and i thought this film was exelent, as well as the sound track. i really got into it during the scene were scott fights matthew patel, but need i say more? if you saw this film you know how good the soundtrack is.
2. Tangeled: i love Alan Menken his scores are just amazing, his work on beauty and the beast, aladdin, pocahontas, and every other film he did the music for just makes the film even better. and i loved his work on this film, i especially loved the songs when will my life begin and mother knows best.
1. The Last Airbender, yes i know this movie did no justice to avatar the last airbender, but the soundtrack was just amazing, i loved the prolouge, and the song flow like water made the climax of the film really amazing, even if your a fan that hated this film, i still think you would enjoy the soundtrack. who knew one of the worst of 2010 would have one of the best scores of 2010, and i honestly think the film should be at least nomiated for best soundtrack.
