If it's crap... We'll tell you

Honorable mentions

10.Dawn of the Dead (2004)

This movie was a lot of fun. Not as good as original but I think that Zack Snyder did an amazing job with this one. Acting was better than in original, and zombies are scarier than those in original, still it didn't improve on a lot of things from original.

9.White Zombie (1932)

First zombie movie ever made. In this first zombie movies dead were turned into zombies by Voodoo magic. Bela Lugosi did an amazing job. Maybe not a lot know of this movie, but it's definitely a one great zombie movie. Not that scary but still a lot of one. My only complaint is that is very short (around 60 minutes). But anyways there you have it number 9.

8.Land of The Dead (2005)

Not as good as other George A. Romero's movie, but I liked it a lot. I like new approach Romero took in this movie (zombies can communicate, make plans and even use guns).

7.Day Of the Dead (1985)

Captain Rhodes is for me most memorable character from any zombie movie. Even when he saw that he is getting ripped apart by zombies he managed to say - "Choke on 'em".

6.Shaun of the Dead (2004)

Great parody, that hits every note right. It's funny all the way through, and very witty.

5.28 Days Later (2002)

Very well made movie. Every actor in this movie gave a great performance, visually this movie looks great. Genuinely scary movie.

4.Rec (2007)

Probably the scariest zombie movie ever. When I first saw I was surprised at how good it was, mostly because I found out about this movie by accident. And I'm glad I did.

3.Night of the Living Dead (1968)

This movie was George A. Romero first movie. And it doesn't disappoint. This movie defined zombie movie genre and influenced most of the zombie movie that came out after this one, and it's probably the most important movie zombie movie.

2.The Evil Dead 1&2 (1981&1987)

It was hard for me to pick which one of these two movies I liked better, because to me both of them are equally great so I decided to put them both on number 2. Very imaginative movies that have a lot of gore and great slapstick humor.

1.Dawn of the Dead (1978)

Best zombie movie ever. Period.

Fuck yeah! I was almost shocked that Army of Darkness only received an honorable mention, but after scrolling quickly to see both Evil Dead films sharing #2, you were quickly forgiven. X3

Great list, and I agree with all of it.Imagine, someone else that knows of White Zombie!

Wow! I was surprised by how many of these films I've actually seen since I'm not that big of a zombie fan. My favorite on your awesome list is probably Shaun of the Dead! I'm a sucker for genre mixing.
