What can I say about this album that Korey hasn't already said? Just go listen to any episode of LDT in the past maybe 2 months and you'll be sure to catch a little glimmer of Gorillaz awesomeness. It's an awesome debut with more then several badass songs and awesome guest stars for almost each song. Del Tha Funk Homosapien FTW!
Best Song: Clint Eastwood
9.) Endgame/Megadeth
Hooray for Dave Mustaine being back in the game! Originally, due to some tissue damage in his arm, it was thought that Mustaine wouldn't be able to play the guitar ever again, and what a travesty that would've been. Well now, Mustaine is back and better then ever in Megadeth's (I think) 11th studio album, shredding like never before. With the exception of Rust in Peace.
Best Song: How the Story Ends
8.) Arctic Monkeys/Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not

Too bad this album didn't get as big as it could've been in the US. The Arctic Monkeys are a british alternative band (who now seem to be emulating "Smashing Pumpkins"... in a bad way) who really knows how to fill an album with infinitely listenable songs. Some happy, some sad, all good.
Best Song: A Certain Romance
7.) Lamb of God/As the Palaces Burn

Thrash metal at it's very best. Every song on this album has a redeeming factor on it, such as Blyth's brutal vocals or Chris Adler's blindingly fast double bass. In my opinion Lamb of God's very best album, second only to Wrath... just kidding.
Best Song: 11th Hour
6.) Slipknot/Iowa

Okay, this album may not be the most lyrically deep album in the history of metal, but it's goddamn angry and fueled with hate, which makes for great metal. I don't really know what genre you would call this album, because it certainly isn't death metal, and it isn't screamo. It's more like... Yell-O.
Best Song: I Am Hated
5.) They Might Be Giants/The Spine

They Might Be Giants rarely disappoints, and this is no exception. For some reason, I seem to be one of the few people who REALLY enjoyed this album. It has so many upbeat, happy, new songs like Au Contraire and Damn Good Times, and still keeps the general weirdness of TMBG intact with songs like Bastard Wants To Hit Me and Wearing a Raincoat.
Best Song: Experimental Film
4.) Mudvayne/L.D. 50

Weird album cover, yes, I know. Now before I pull up my flame shield, let me just say that this album kicks ass. One of the few bands where the bass far outshines the other instruments, Mudvayne's first 2 albums are hard and fast. Yeah, I said it. HARD. AND. FAST. I think they even got a grammy or something for the music video of Dig.
Best Song: Internal Primates Forever
3.) Eminem/The Marshall Mathers LP

Yeah, probably didn't see this one coming. I'm generally not a big fan of rap, but this album blows me away every time I listen to it, whether it be because of the more serious songs like Stan, or the outright insane ones like Kill You. Eminem bounces from one tabooed topic to the next, ranging from killing his wife, robbery and rape. Good times.
Best Song: Stan
2.) Absolution/Muse

Thank god for Muse. They're like U2, if U2 was... good. (MY PERSONAL OPINION, REMEMBER THAT) Muse is a three man show with Bass, Guitar, Drums and Piano, all played beautifully. And let us not forget the vocals. Matthew Bellamy can sing like a motherfu**er. Although I do feel bad for him, seeing as he probably needs to be kicked repeatedly in the balls before every show to sing like he does.
Best Song: Apocalypse Please
1.) The Unicorns/Who Will Cut Our Hair When We're Gone

Surprise, surprise! Didn't see this one coming, did you? Man, this album is perfect, although it's not for everyone. It's a weird mix of indie and just... odd sh**. Just go on Youtube or something and listen to Sea Ghost or Child Star and you'll understand. The way the music mixes together is awesome, and often times the way the two vocalists play off each other really funny. Too bad they broke up so early in their career...
Best Song: Sea Ghost
Runners-Up:
1.) Grizzly Bear/Yellow House
2.) Avenged Sevenfold/Waking the Fallen
3.) Deltron/Deltron 3030
4.) Gwar/Lust in Space
5.) Dr. Dog/Fate
Oh, and the award for the worst album of the past decade?
Number 1.) BrokeNCYDE/I'm Not a Fan... But the Kids Like It!

As The New Musical Express stated in a review, "even if I caught Prince Harry and Gary Glitter adorned in Nazi regalia defecating through my grandmother's letterbox, I would still consider making them listen to this album to severe a punishment." That says it all.
