Plot
Liam Neeson plays divorced, former US intelligence agent named Bryan . He has a 17 year old daughter named Kim, and she lives with his ex-wife Lenore and her new husband Stuart. The nature and dispositions of the major characters are established early in the film: Kim is a happy, affectionate girl who loves horses and has aspirations of being a singer, while her mother maintains a frosty, somewhat antagonistic demeanour towards her ex-husband. Bryan’s skill and quick-thinking are demonstrated when he agrees to escort pop diva Sheerah (Holly Valance); the diva is attacked, but Bryan efficiently disables a knife-wielding assailant and gets her safely out of danger. Thankful, Sheerah expresses some interest in Bryan’s daughter and furnishes him with some contacts to get Kim’s career started.
Next day his daughter is basically preparing to go to Paris with her friend to follow U2’s European tour. Her mother agrees on that but know she needed permission from Bryan (her father). And of course Bryan is cliched over-protective father and she had to lie to him in order to get permission, and lies to him, telling him that they'll be visiting museums. The moment she came there she got kidnapped. Bryan was talking on the phone with her while she was being kidnapped so he goes to Paris to save her.

This movie was released in Europe during summer so I managed to see it then, and in late January this movie is going to be released in US. It was decent movie, nothing great. Liam Neeson is in this movie basically playing old Jason Bourne and basically kicks the shit out of everyone. And even fighting scenes looked like something borrowed from Bourne movies and story and characters weren't that good developed for anyone (at least for me) to care about actual outcome (which you could see coming from miles away).

I have to say

, I had no idea what this film was about, and it was the only thing on that I hadn't seen... I thought it was just gonna be him wondering about looking for his daughter, but he just went mad and killed every mo fo who got in his way! The ending was brilliant too!

I have to strongly disagree with you. I got wrapped into this. Yeah, I understand the Jason Bourne comparision, but here it is not shot in such a way that you are left asking the person next to you "WTF just happened?" And this movie makes Liam Neeson look like a BADASS. It's paced perfectly, and those 90 minutes FLY out the window. My only real complaint was that the car chases were just average.

Full Price.

I'm suprised this movie hasnt come out in the US yet, because it came out here in the UAE two months ago, I didnt pay attention to it, it kinda came and went in like a week, but from your explanation and review of the plot I think I'm just not interested in the movie, the plot isn't original at all and I've seen The Bourne Trilogy so... I don't think I'll be watching this, although Liam Neeson is a good actor.
