Today, there was a new trailer, made for the UK, for Disney/Pixar's next feature, 'Monsters University', which will come to us on June 21st and I feel that...well, let's look at the trailer first and then we'll come back and talk about it:

So, there it is and I have to say that with this trailer, I went from hoping that this is going to be good to 'Holy Crap, I can't wait to see this.'

The original Monsters Inc. was a fun and creative movie that had a lot of heart to it and a lot of great comedic moments all around the film and the new trailer for Monsters University shows that this could be just as fun and creative as the original film was.

Pixar's last two outings were very underwhelming, especially with Cars 2 and Brave, with the latter being more of a disappointment but still enjoyable.

At least with this trailer, you can tell that there's going to be some very creative comedy bits in there that seem like what you'd expect to see in a Monsters Inc. followup.

In addition, that great chemistry that both Billy Crystal and John Goodman had in the first movie seems like it's returning for the prequel, the animation looks incredibly vibrant and creative, and the idea of a Pixar college movie shows the most potential that I've seen since Toy Story 3.

Plus, when has 'Kickstart My Heart' not sound awesome in any commercial or trailer? Even in mediocre films like Sahara, when that song shows up in the trailer, it makes the movie seem friggin awesome.

All-in-all, I'm really looking forward to checking this out and I hope it's not a disappointment because this was one of the best trailers that I've seen so far this year, it shows the potential for the best Pixar film to be released since Toy Story 3 and I really hope it doesn't fail to meet that mark.
