Once in a great while, there comes a trailer for a movie that knows exactly what it's doing and gets it's right by not showing much but giving us a bit of what the plot is. The original teaser for the 1989 Batman did that and the new trailer for The Dark Knight Rises does exactly that.

This trailer is so, so... well, just watch:

I mean, WOW, how awesome was that.

This trailer is easily one of the best trailers I've seen in years. It's the best trailer I've seen since the first Superman Returns teaser back in 2005.

What I like about the trailer is that it's not loud and in your face like most action trailers are. The music is very quiet, very somber but you feel the emotional impact that's going on in the trailer. You get a good idea on what the plot is, you get the feeling that Christopher Nolan gets it and knows exactly what he's doing. Just the last shot alone took my breath away at how good that is.

This trailer is just so, so badass. I was about to cry after I finished watching it. I was literally on the brink of tears coming out of my eye, that's how awesome this trailer really is.

I mean, this is the kind of trailer that I want Hollywood to do with movies. No stupid jokes thrown in, no cliche lines, no wacky music, this trailer is what I want Hollywood to do with their movies from now on. And I know they aren't going to do that because hey, what hollywood executive listens to what I have to say.

This is such a great trailer, this is one of the best trailers ever made.

In fact, I'm going to make a prediction right now. You know how there were stories about how when the original 89 Batman teaser and the first trailer for Star Wars Episode 1 came out, people would buy tickets just to see the trailer and then leave the theater after it was done.

I'm going to guess that the same thing will happen again with this trailer. Yeah, we live in a world where you can't go to a different webpage without seeing a trailer but I know people want to see that shit on a huge ass screen and I'm going to say that we will see a repeat of that with this trailer.

It's an awesome trailer, it's one of the best trailers ever made. I have nothing else to say.
