Here's my picks for the year. It's a tough year, and I wouldn't be surprised if I don't get a single one right. All four acting categories were stumpers. I haven't picked up any buzz about any of these performances, and I haven't seen any of the films, so I basically guessed. (Well, maybe I picked up a little buzz about Jonah Hill, but not enough te really mean anything.)

Original Song: Man or Muppet (I liked the song from Rio better (haven’t seen the movie), but I think the Academy favors The Muppets.)

Live Action Short Subject: Time Freak (Another Guess)

Best Animated Feature: Kung Fu Panda 2 (I’ve seen none of these films. Everyone I know who saw it is head over heels for Rango. However, my experience has told me that’s an indication it won’t win.)

Best Documentary Short Subject: The Tsunami and the Cherry Blossom

Best Documentary Feature: Hell and Back Again

Foreign Language Film: In Darkness (I want to see this movie)
