If it's crap... We'll tell you

Judd Apatow is on the top of the world right now, and tomorrow his new film Funny People comes out, and I can't wait to be first in line. So to get ready to watch the film, I'm having a little Apatow Marthon at my house. This guy has made some of my favorite movies, and some of the memorable characters in movies. I'm not going to deep into his career, like Freaks & Geeks(Witch I still haven't watched), or anything like that, I'm going to talk about my experiences I've had at the movies, waatching his films. Here we go.

God don't you just love that poster. I FUCKING LOVE THIS MOVIE. PERIOD. To me this is the funniest movie ever made(To me, so don't start with the comments), This is the only movie I can watch over and over again, and still laugh. I can't get enough of this movie, there's just something about it that keeps it fresh everytime. Wether its the story, characters, jokes, whatever, I can't stop watching it. This was my first movie I watched that had Apatow name on it, that I know of (Yes I watch Anchorman after this, and I didn't like it). If you haven't seen this movie, stop reading this and go buy the DVD. GO!................NOW!!!

Knocked up is argueable the second best of theese types of movies. This is another movie I really love, I don't think that its anywhere near as funny as The 40 Year Old Virgin, but Its still funny as hell. I think I like it more then the average bear, there's still something about it that, ever once and a while when it comes on I'll change the channel. Unlike 40 Year Old Virgin, I can't wath this movie again and again. But I still love the hell out of it.

I am Mclovin! Yes love this movie so damn much. This might sound odd, but even though I don't think this is better the Knocked Up, unlike Knocked Up, and like The 40 Year Old Virgin I can watch this anytime, its just so much fun. And come on, it created the coolest character in a movie in a long time, and oddly enough Mclovin is the only one that got laid. I've alwas wanted to have at least one night like this in my life, a night where I'm trying to get to the party, but I can't get there and all this crazy shit happens inbetween.

This is a movie I thoguht was just as good as Superbad. But I don't love this movie, I didn't conect with it like I did with the other Three. While there is great stuff, and there are parts that had me on the floor laughing, I didn't leave with the same feeling I had with the others. I've seen this movie twice, and while I'm sure I'll watch it again, I'm in no rush too.

While this is probably the most popular with mainstream audiences, its my least favorite. I thought that there was just so much more to do here, that wasn't done. One thing I wanted to see more with is Seth Rogan's Girlfriend, I wish they would have built more of a relashionship with her, and all of the jokes with her are really funny, and I thoght she sould have been more present in the film. I don't know, I just didn't think it was all that funny. I think its very overrated. But with all the bad stuff I have to say about it, it's still worth checking out.

Well thats it, thanks for reading. This is a post I've been wanting to do for a long time and I thought today would be perfect. Sorry I didn't cover Walk Hard, Drillbit Tylor, of any others not talked about. So go see Judd Apatow's new film Funny People out tomorrow.

I originally preferred Superbad over Sarah Marshall. Sarah Marshall is my absolute favorite now though.

Great blog. Cheers! :)

I honestly don't much like most of the stuff Apatow has put his hands on. Just not a fan.

40-YEAR-OLD VIRGIN is my favorite movie of all time as well as comedy. I quote the shit out of it.

Knocked Up was okay for me- I didn't laugh as much. Superbad was hilarious but The Hangover is ten times better. Forgetting Sarah Marshall is better than Knocked Up but just a good movie on its own. Pineapple Express I found over-rated and only laughed a couple of times but it's not (stoner) classic.

Knocked Up is actually my favorite movie of all time (i just want people to know that 'favorite' and 'best' are 2 different words) for personal reasons but i could actually watch it every day of the year and not get sick of it. i just love it

I love just about every judd apatow movie there is except for the obvious few (Year One, Drillbit Taylor) and Forgetting Sarah Marshall is my second favorite of the bunch (its in my top ten of all time as well. again, 'favorite' is very very different than best)

I am so fucking excited for funny people. also i love how long his movies are, but i love long movies in general (as long as theyre somewhat good anyways)

and Charlton- im pretty sure that literally every line in Anchorman is quotable, and its definitely the most quoted movie ive ever heard

I must confess that I STILL play the "You know how I know you're gay?" game with my friends on a daily basis.

Name some of the worst casting choices in film history. Here are some of my favourites: - Hayden Christensen as Darth Vader (Star Wars Prequels) - George Clooney as Batman (Batman & Robin) - Topher Grace as Venom (Spider-Man 3)

It looks like they've improved the facial textures a lot. After the improved story and flare of ODST, I'm looking a little forward to the end of the Halo universe by it's creative company, BUNGIE. ...
