Well, I guess it isn't bad, but it is what I expected as far as The Dark Knight goes...
I wish there had been more nominations for it.

I've been reading a lot about how everyone thinks that comic book movies always get snubbed, what about A History of Violence, or Road to Perdition. Both released not too long ago and both were nominated for Golden Globes and Oscars. Maybe the problem is that while being a very good movie, The Dark Knight is just not as good as you think.
Comment by Christian Alvarez on December 12, 2008 at 12:29am
We don't know about the Oscars, but they will give it rightful recognition hopefully. Anyway the Golden Globes is the Jan Brady of award shows.

The Golden Globes and The Oscars ain't worth two fucks! You know damn well they don't nominate comic book-based movie because they don't like them. Damn right they'll snub The Dark Knight from being nominated for best picture, best actor, best director, and best score. At least they'll nominate Heath Ledger for best supporting actor (GOOD LUCK HEATH AND R.I.P.!!!) I won't watch none of this shit if Heath wins!

'Let the right one in" isn't in the foreign film nods? Thats total bullshit right there. People were sucking the dirt off of Amelie's toes and 'Let the right one in' is waay better... damn kids.

The Dark Knight got ass-raped. What up wit that?
Comment by DeathMetalMike on December 11, 2008 at 5:22pm
Wait, wait ... Peter Gabriel? The original (and best) singer for Genesis?!?!? HELL YEAH.

Btw it's bullshit that Tom Cruise got nominated for Tropic Thunder and Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard didn't get nominated for best score for The Dark Knight.
Comment by ragman on December 11, 2008 at 4:58pm
dark knight getting snubbed is surprising as well as let the right one in getting snubbed for best foreign film.
