QuickKick posted a photoI'm so fucking done with January. Movie 43 is one of those movies where people saw the trailer and their initial reaction was, "What the hell is that about?" It turns out that it's about a bunch of comedy skits put together in one movie and it can be seen as a more cinematic version of MADtv or Saturday Night Live. Despite a plethora of all these skits and all these big actors, Movie 43 is one of the worst movies I've seen in my life. Yes, 2013 has started off with crap like Texas Chainsaw 3D and Broken City, but Movie 43 makes those movies look Oscar worthy. There's so much stuff going in this movie and it's all just a bunch of terrible attempts at humor. A majority of the jokes in the movie are just a bunch of piss and shit jokes and it is absolutely beyond me how that many jokes like that could be allowed in this movie. Shit jokes are not funny, I don't care what anyone says, they're not clever and it's the type of stuff I expect out of Adam Sandler's new material. Then there's all these well known actors like Richard Gere, Hugh Jackman, Kate Winslet, Emma Stone, Halle Berry and all these talented actors are pretty much going through the motions in this movie. They look like they're bored out of their minds and I can't blame them. Some of these people I can't even wonder why they would be in this mess. Snooki is in this and I can understand why she's in it because she herself is a fat, classless piece of shit who will do anything for money, but everybody else should've just avoided this disaster. The skits in this movie don't even make any sense at all. There's one where a guy has a pair of balls on his chin and then there's one with a leprechaun and it all just doesn't make ay sense. This movie is just a big parody of itself and it's not even in a funny way. There's a part in the beginning where a guy holds another guy at gunpoint and forces him to look through his script for a movie. If I didn't know any better, I would've guessed that that part was how this movie was pitched. I've never walked out of a movie before, but with Movie 43, I considered it at least 5 times throughout the entire film. Movie 43 just tries to be a more modern version of Kentucky Fried Movie, a 1977 movie with the exact same premise as this movie. The only difference is Kentucky Fried Movie is actually funny. I've seen it and it may be a tad dated, but it's still funny and it actually helped in launching the careers of people in the movie. With Movie 43, the people involved will be lucky if they don't become the topic of every joke at the Oscars this year in Seth Mcfarlane's opening monologue. (However, Mcfarlane is in this movie as well, so you never know what's going to happen.) I knew that once I started rating movies on a scale of 1-10, I would eventually have to give a movie a 1, but I was hoping it wouldn't be this soon. Don't see this movie. Don't even see it just to see how bad it is. Avoid it..forever.
Rating: 1/10
