I'm sorry to hear of your loss... Hold onto the good memories and endure. No matter how painful, it's important to realize the impact others have on our lives, even after they're gone. My hopes and wishes to you and the family that time will heal the worst of it...

Though death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal...

Other than the blogging on Spill, I don't really know you all that well, but as someone who has lost friends and loved ones I just wanted you to know that I understand. And it will get better with time. Death hurts more than any pain I have yet to experience in life but, as with everything else, anything that doesn't kill you truly makes you stronger. I pray that you allow the pain of this loss to to not kill the hope or passion you have for life or the faith that you have in people...that the void left by the passing of your friend will be filled and nurtured with loving memories that will make you smile and laugh out loud...even while crying. Be strong, EriksBlue...and blog if you need us. We got you.

I'm sorry for your loss. The pain of losing a friend never really goes away... but it does get easier a little each day. I know this sound corny, and cliche but no one is truly gone as long as someone remember them. That person is you, and so many others that their lives though short... left a impact on. I truly hope this help you as you grieve. Most of the time it's the fact that you didn't get to say or tell that person what they meant to you...don't go in that way of thinking, they knew....I lost a good friend going on two years...at first I was angry he died, then I was heartbroken that I would never see one of my favorite faces ever again. Now I so glad that I had the opportunity to know this special person even at all. I still think about him all the time, and I know I always will.

There aren't any words that I can write down that will make any pain you are feeling go away. And wouldn't it be tragic if I could. Pain is a good thing. It means that your friendship was real. Feel your pain, express it, don't wallow in it. And in the end do honor to your friends by living a life they could be proud of.
