Milla Jovovich Signs Up For 'Faces In The Crowd'

Source: Variety

Variety reports that Milla Jovovich has been cast as the lead in writer-director Julien Magnat's psychological thriller Faces in the Crowd.

The plot centers on a woman who barely survives an attack by a serial killer and wakes up in hospital with a head injury that leaves her "face-blind." No longer able to recognize faces, she must navigate a world in which facial features change each time she loses sight of them. All the while the killer is closing in, determined to eliminate the potential witness. The screenplay deals with the real-life neurological disorder called prosopagnosia.

Scott Mednick (Where the Wild Things Are) is producing alongside Jean-Charles Levy, Clement Miserez, Sylvain White and Kevin DeWalt.

Production is set to begin in March after the actress wraps production on Resident Evil: Afterlife.

it sounds like their really trying to set this film apart with a little originallity with the face recognising problem but eh i wish they could find something a little more plausable or even something that sounds a little less stupid than this

That picture looked almost like Ashley Judd pouting. I've only ever watched her in The Messenger and pieces of the Resident Evil films, she sounds like a good fit with this role.

I get it!
It's Memento with a twist.
Julien Magnat will have to pull off some Christopher Nolan style cleverness to pull this off.

So this isn't a remake of the Andy Griffith movie? Good.

I'll admit, horrible resident evil movies aside... I do enjoy watching Milla in movies and the premise sounds kind of interesting. I'll wait for a trailer for further confirmation, but I might see this.

Milla also has a unique singing career too. It's an acquired taste.
